Status of my Peace Lily in Melbourne
Переглядів 3728 днів тому
My Peace Lily is finally flowering after many years. Given to me as a gift by my neighboour 3 years back, I nearly killed it it. The leaves were turning black, and the plant was not happy. I reduced the watering and kept the plant in my greenhouse for 2 years where it survived. This year after spring I repotted into a bigger 300 mm pot with premium compost. I also put in some sulphate of potash...
My Monstera
Переглядів 4028 днів тому
Bought during Covid lock down from Costco, the Monstera has really grown well. This year I repotted in a larger pot (300 mm I think) with lots of premium compost. I had to use two stakes to structure the plant.

8th Jan 2025: Uploading the status of my Acerola Florida Sweet. My last recording was on 24th Dec 2024. Since then the plant has gone crazy with flowers.. Hope to get more fruits. So far the birds haven’t attacked the fruits yet. The cherries are really lovely. It’s an easy plant to grow in Melbourne provided you are willing to protect it in winter.. Let’s see long it takes to withstand Melbour...

Growing Aecerola Florida Sweet in Melbourne Australia

24 Dec 2024 Status of my 3 year old Acerola plant in a pot. So far the plant has proven to be a no fuss addition to my backyard. I am liking the fruits, it's tangy and sweet but with lots of seeds (2-4). It has a very fragrant flavour different to usual cherries. It has survived two Melbourne winters under frost protection. It requires full sun, hotter the better!

Feels like a big achievement but believe me, it is difficult to grow Wax Jambu in Melbourne's erratic weather. My 3rd attempt and spent lot of time babying this one. Recording the status of the plant .
hey mate how did you go with the jambu now ? Did it fruit ? I have planted one in Nov 24 in melbourne. It has lost 50% ts leaves after the transplant and now have started new growth of leaves at the bottom.
Excellent .. Nov is a safe month to plant. Keep it protected on days of 35 degrees and above. mine is doing well lots of fruitlets .. will do an update video soon
Thanks for sharing this. I bought some baby pandan shoots and just potted it in just 10% perlite and the rest potting mix. I think I'll re-do them again and increase the amount of perlite in the mix.
@@roselavender2222 ..Don’t worry as long as you don’t over water it should be fine..
Can i get one.i am from sydney.
@@chamanfirdous4836 definitely!
@Sidd’s Tropical: I am currently growing Pandan in my indoor greenhouse. Thank you for so generously sharing your experience growing pandan plant in Melbourne.
Hi. You mentioned bubble wrapping. Is that full bubble wrap or just the sides?
I just loosely wrap the plant with bubble wrap, leave the top open for it to breathe.. just protects it from cold nights and draft from the heater..
Thanks for watching 😊and your comments
The pandan plant looks so lush and healthy. You're doing a great job looking after it. Thanks so much for sharing the tips with us 😊
