    A fantastic video made all the more special having just completed JOGLE myself, hence this brought back some great memories, albeit it seems you had much better weather than I did. Some very nice effects particularly the route mapping images, I've looked on line to see what route mapping apps are available for my own video which I'll start working on however, I've been unable to find anything as cool as yours??? Great work lads, very impressive and well done on completing JOGLE, its no walk in the park, particularly as I did it solo and unsupported... Anymore bike packing adventures planned? I'd like to cycle 'Via Francigena' one day!!!... maybe see you out there one day... Gary

      Many thanks! I used Davinci Resolve's fusion component with a bunch of keyframing to create the map. I highly recommend

      Hi Max, thanks so much for your reply and info re Davinci which I use anyway so i'll look into this... loved your music selection however curious as to how you were able to use well known commercial music without any copyright issues?

    Love the scenery, I'm doing G to L in five months time, a little different as I'll be walking and dragging a tyre. However looking at your video the scenery will be stunning.

      I only had one but a portable charger which came in handy. Lots of footage also filmed with phone. Do you mean Coventry-Gloucester-Coventry or the full LEJOG/JOGLE route?

    Further to my two previous comments below, I rode LeJog myself last year with my little dog along for the ride in the bike basket and camping most nights. I’m not far off pension age so we did it at a very leisurely pace! Best thing I’ve done in years, your video and one or two others were a big inspiration to me, thanks 👍🏻🤗

      I'm a younger pensioner at 47, but I plan to do JOGLE in May. I definitely plan to do it leisurely and camp. May I ask how long it took you to complete?

    • @pootlingalong8928
      @pootlingalong8928 Рік тому

      Hi - slightly embarrassed to admit it was just over 5 weeks 😬 I was using the Sustrans route which is 1200 miles, doing approx 30 miles per day. I don’t regret taking so long - I wanted to see my country and not feel under any pressure at any time to get to my camping destinations. It was the best time of my life and I hope to do JoGLE next year. I would advise everyone to take at least three weeks to do the ride - enjoy it 👍🏻🤗

      @@pootlingalong8928That's very inspiring, and the kind of mileage per day that my husband and I could maybe manage. Wonderful to take your time and soak in the whole experience. 😊👍🚲🐶

    Great video, well done! How often did you wild camp? Did you pick your places to stop prior or decide whilst en route? Thinking of going solo in July / August.

    • @Max_Robertson

      First night was bad but afterwards we found more open higher ground which had a little breeze keeping them away. They get better further south you go and by Glasgow not a problem anymore. I didn't have a strict routine, I would cycle until it was getting dark or I had somewhere to stay. I never planned more than a day in advance (exception was the train home which was 2 or 3 days). Great for flexibility and very doable with wild camping or brief overnight stays. Land's End was a great sight (and downhill to the end) although it was really quite a lot busier than John o Groats. Best of luck for summer
