India has ZERO RnD culture and this vehicle is a perfect example of how bad that culture is . Indians should be ashamed that such a vehicle even exits in India ! Do you have the DPF regen issue after every 100 to 200km? I also own a Safari and Pajero SFX. I have looked at the Gurkha 5 door. Your videos are important. Great that you'd come out of DPF clogging issue. But, driving for more distance won't help in auto regeneration. It needs high engine RPM >2000 for at least 20-30 minutes. So, you may try driving at 2nd or 3rd gear achieving >2000 RPM while driving once a week. Soot generates more at hills due to both Low Speed drives as well as Low Oxygen levels.

I have eco sport diesel, it doesn't have any regeneration button, it simply says "drive to clean dpf filter". So I found a nifty trick to regenerate quickly, take any traffic free route and drive on a lower gear 2 or 3rd keeping rpm over 2000 so say above 60 kmph you should be good in about 20 mins.

The problem is not dpf, but how a bs 6.2 vehicle is been driven, i have also completed almost 5000 km not even a singl e timr this issuse has come ,

Not high speed, just drive on higher RPM. Don't shift early. Like while on 2nd gear, dont go to 3rd without revving it a little more. With higher RMP, exhaust gases will release with more pressure. So that small carbon particle can cross through DPF MESH. Other reason can be the carbon accumulation on the sensor. Their Sensors are shit already.

Force regen to work the engine temperature must be above min 4 bar, read the mannnual, tere are some condition must be met before doing this

Seems like he is ignorant of the new Gurkha issues…moreover he stays in hilly area and the vehicle goes to limp mode if regen fails ….i feel bad for his selection of this vehicle… I own the new one clocked around 14000 km and facing hell lot of issues in this dpf issues…

Once light blinks u cannot do regeneration…

As per my understanding, DPF can only be manually regenerated unless the DPF light is not blinking. Manual regeneration should immediately be started once the DPF light is on for the first time itself.
