Ditch work

Pouring 2 yards of concrete to fix my ditch. Vandals closed down my irrigation and didn't open the outlet. 36 cfs of water backed up and blew out a retaining wall put in 100 years ago. KW & Sons Excavation . Did the work, i showed up at the end to video and be a pee on.......
I remember that day.
Hey boss, just a thought, make your diamond plates with rounded corners next time. Not having sharp corners makes for a stronger bond as there is no "notching". Uphand weld if you can will make for a stronger weld. Just found your channel this morning and thought your snow plow modification was excellent. Merry Christmas from Canada
Awesome, thank you, didn't know that about the diamond plates. learning more every day
I'm born and raised in north central Florida, haven't seen snow here in over 50 years but I do a lot of fabrication and enjoyed your video. That's what we call redneck ingenuity! lol I cracked up when I spotted the old mower blade on the floor of your shop, I knew then that those gussets had to be made from that. I have a scag mower and I collect the old scag mower blades from the nearby city that one of my sons works for. 1/4" thick steel, I have cut hundreds of gussets from those things! I found your video because one of my other sons moved to Kanas about a year ago and is working for the city of Olathe and absolutely loves snow plowing (and the cold weather). So I have been watching videos on snow plowing since, obviously we Floridians know nothing about it.
I appreciate the sass of the one who kept stopping and looking back at you. Thanks for showing just a tiny bit of your day.
Always, I have the best life I can dream of. even with the ups, downs, and injury's along the way, I wouldn't change anything, except for wearing hearing protection early in life. I know the show Yellowstone is bringing people back to agriculture. I want to show the real world part of it.
Gaaaaayyyyaaaayyyyyy
Dying 🤣🤣🤣
Lol. Yup. Not my house. Its my wifes. I just have the pleasure of living in a beautiful place with my beautiful wife.
I am with you on this one.. They should bring a smile to any family home.
Andrew camarata vibes, great video!:)
Thanks for watching!
You did a fantastic job!
Thank you! Cheers!
Love it... can't wait for my next pack trip in the mountains!!!
I hate to be that guy, but you should of at least worn a mask or a respirator.
yep, i should have, my wife got after me too. I figured its just dirt........
When will You know how well this bentonite is a success?
Within 12 hours, it worked, tank fills up and stays full
I've always wanted to own a fire truck, dealing with wildfires some years. That one's a beauty!
I like it! Very nice, and something I can do myself.
Is that your real voice.. Or do you just inhale helium on a daily basis
LOL DO MORE
That concrete came out horrible sir
that's what happens when you've pour concrete after having beer 30 and use a tractor bucket as a strait edge. I figured it won't matter, because after the first rain the sandy hillside is going to cover it up anyways.
Love it so much do more 🙏
Keep on going never Give up ! Everybody starts somewhere 🎉🎉 never quit ❤
Keeping the old iron alive. I’m currently looking at picking up this same machine. Thanks for the information
I just broke the boom on it, i filmed a new video fixing it, just need to edit and post. I love this machine.
Hey TJ we have the same problem and started working on it- how is it holding up and how much load are you putting it under? Would you have time to talk on phone?
We'll i broke it pulling another ranger out of the mud, it spins free again, then my engine caught fire. I've parked it for the fall. I video tearing it down when I have time this winter
Canada Russ here. 4 months later, is it holding up?
@russellhuston6481 amazingly yes, but lost the water pump impeller, tps sensor, and thermostat sensor, I love the things because it goes anywhere, but it's turning into a money pit
@@TLazyJ lol. Ah well.. keep fixin'er up.. lol
I have the same form, and I’m working on making them now. Ever wished you went 4 deep or happy with the 3 deep?
I've got 400 heifers that Don't test them at 3 deep
Put the handle in place, take the latch assembly and turn it to the 3:00 position, fold the white part of the latch down and into the black part of the handle then turn back to normal position and bolt in place. No need to take the pin out
I don't go for speed. I trickle each charge out on a beam scale, and then double check it on a digital scale before moving on to rinse and repeat. My OCD will not allow me to do other wise.
I completely understand, I'm in a little different situation, I run 5 target rifles, and load for 4 other people with target rifles. My rifles burn up, 50 to 100 round per week in the spring summer and fall. I try to load in batches of 500. I also have a family, so 2 to 3 hours per evening is all the time i can dedicate to this hobby. However I'm lucky enough that, keeping people around me shooting pretty much pays for my obsession.
@@TLazyJ "Obsession" is indeed a far more accurate term for this so called "hobby". But the later kind of makes us seem more like sane and rational people just passing the time of day. I have people wanting me to load for them, but I tell them that they will have to buy the dies, powder, primers, cases, and bullets before I assemble the cartridges for them. They all look at me and say they might as well make their own. I then ask them what part of the nasty thing with the ATF that says I can not buy the stuff and assemble it to sell to other do they not understand. And being I only care to shot 45 Colt, 45 Auto, and 460 S&W Magnum I have no need for dies that work with their cartridges. That means that even if they gave me the dies it wouldn't benefit me one bit. Not to mention I have an aversion to loading communist rounds such as the 9mm Lugar (Parabellum), so that just ain't gonna happen. And until people get on the 45 caliber band wagon (where they do not pretend to be someone they are not, cause I don't like to go around pretending), I be loading alone. Like a turtle, slowly but surely.
Release agent, lol
It's diesel fuel, a tried and true release agent in rural life.
I've never seen those..we just have the steel ones..

Here in Hawaii they are also trying to pass more ridiculous gun laws. We are already restricted from ALL NFA items, 10rd pistol mags…etc. stuff being passed through now will make Hawaii the most restricted State in the nation. Thanks for the video… love the system you have for bucking those sticks. Aloha 🤙🏽
Thank you TJ for the mention 👍
You're my all-time favorite gun store. No tacticool bullshit. And your customer service is AAA.
Does it work on asphalt to prevent damage
Yes it does, that's the primary reason to go through the effort, steel is cheep, asphalt, and chipseal are not.
As said .
Where did you get the door from and what are the dimensions?
I got it from my local kubota dealer, gave them the year and model number, they ordered it for me
I usedold cutting edge like you did, but I bent it into 4 skid shoes with ski tips curving up about an inch. the blade ride on the 4 half inch thick skids and no gravel gets kicked up either. I welded in gussets like you did but the shoes are bolted on like the cutting edge is.
#1 - First comment (I know... worthless for me to say, but I rarely get the chance, so why not)... #2 - I eat a half-dozen eggs every morning, but all my bacon is frozen right now. Dang. And finally... #3 - "YOU'RE G**D***ED RIGHT" to everything you said in the video.
Ooooo….i like this! With my optic mounted the OG charging handle is a little tedious especially with gloves on. Thanks for show-n-tell!
Well that’s pretty sweet!
Hey TJ… thanks for answering the question. I saw it and figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask. Kind of a genius design. Thanks for sharing, definitely going to look it up. Aloha 🤙🏽
Any time!
"promosm" 😒
For some reason I want your mallet.
Good advice
What's on your charging handle?
Devil Dog Concepts devildogconcepts.com Devil Dog Concepts
It's part of the side charging system. I pull it off in the winter so it dosen't scratch the interior of my truck
@@TLazyJ does it hang up on your clothes/gear?
Wish I could post a pic here, but it rests against the driver's seat, and seat belts catch, with the console on the other side, and the 90 degree pull lever hits the front of the leather seat
Shiit. I watched a 19yr old come out of a 1yr on the job apprenticeship. The guy was screwing up customer's cars left and right. We thought he'd be fired before the month was over. He even took a week vacation without any heads-up. Came back to nothing being said. Continued to scrwe up afterwards. His punishment was to be demoted to a front office job. One he said he preferred anyway. The manager said he didn't want to fire him because he was young and out on his own and didn't want him to have to struggle. In my 27yrs of collision repair, I've seen all kinds of bad habits; behaviors; and attitudes get rewarded. Could even tell you a couple of stories about guys getting in a wreck sloppy drunk. The sherif game them rides home and had their cars towed to the shop and not impounded .
Great talk 👍
Reg-ars make me gay - and I m very happy. 😅 gay that 😢
People are rewarded for bad behavior all of the time that's why our society has gone to sh*t.
Steel pipe works great, cut to length of cutting edce, cut our the wide of your cutting straight down the middle, weld on maounting plate to match 2 of the original cutting edge bolt holes . It salides over the bottom edge of your cutting edge and stick bolts in and thats it. gaarauntee you will love it, Its wqay smoother of a plow ride, it glides over snmooth and gravel grass, and hard surfaces..
2"-2 1/2" pipe, sched, 40
