The Boston Baked beans container is neat
The bitters bottle is gorgeous 😍
Great finds! I love the porcelain dish, such a pretty pattern!🎄❤️
That’s a great dig right there!
Awesome finds 👍
Great video
The brick that was misshapened reminded me of a mini loaf of home made bread. Lol Thanks for taking us along on your adventure.
You found some beautiful bottles and milks. Too bad the demijohn was in pieces. Hopefully you'll find more area on the property that will be filled with pre 1900 bottles and other treasure. Have a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year !!!
Thanks!
A blessed day foe a blessed man. Congrats I'm so so happy for you!!!
Sweetest Stop Thief milk bottle, I've never seen one before. How can you tell the difference between flint glass and other glass made during that time period? How deep are you digging to find the treasure? Also do you probe any areas after you think what the bottom is? Thank you RIbottleguy!!! I love your digs for telling us about the bottles, location and rarity. Fabulous job and number 1 to me...
Thank you for the kind words! So flint glass technically has lead in it, which made the glass clear instead of aqua. Lead was used from the early 1800s to the 1870s when other decolorizing agents became more popular. It has a certain ring to it when you tap it with your fingernail, but also if it has manufacturing marks and crudeness associated with pre-1880 bottles that is usually how I identify it. As for depth here I found the original basement floor just shy of 6 feet down.
The deformed brick most likely wasn't completely dry when fired causing it to expand.
Cool, thanks for the info!
Beautiful marble. Dang the stinks about the cracked and damaged milks. It's awesome that you found a very rare with the one!!
Thanks! It makes finding an intact one all the more satisfying.
Awesome sign. Is it forsale?
Unfortunately I already sold these signs to a friend.
@RIBottleguy bummer amazing finds. I'm in maine. I hope you got atleast minimum 2k for the 4 signs
Dude the number of porcelain signs that you dug out on that day and night was crazy cool (Or as you New Englanders say: it's WICKED)!! Great meds too 😃
Thanks! It was a dig to remember.
@@RIBottleguy no doubt!! 😊
Wow so many incredible finds. Congrats on the awesomeness!
Fantastic finds 😊
a little oxalic acid will take off the surface rust without messing with the enamel/paint
Thanks! I don't collect signs (tempting as it is lol) but I sell them to a collector who cleans them that way.
Wow sick sign finds! It looks like the hotpoint sign might have been used as a shooting target at some point 😂
I was wondering that but my friend said the holes were for the neon gas lights!
Awesome video and finds! Nice to see you find so many nice signs. They definitely have a good value on them. Happy thanksgiving to you and your family. My son Lew and I are looking forward to watching more of your videos. Take care and happy hunting to you. -----Jeffrey Hull Jr (Jeff & son Lew.)
Thanks Jeff!
You can use clear spray paint on bottles to save the paint. Great finds
Yeah if I had expected to dig some ACLs that would have been a great idea. Next time!
Good for you! How exciting to find 3 salvageable signs!! SWEET!
Thanks Laurel!
Amazing finds! Those signs cleaned up well.
Thanks Mike!
We were at this place a ways back- seems pretty tapped at this point. Gorgeous locale though.
It is! Usually dumps are out of sight, out of mind.
I recently found 1 of your area's bottle on my last dig of the year. ( Kennebec county Maine ). Lots of embossing. A Jarmuth. Beef, wine & Iron. A bit odd with the iron. Made me laugh when I first read it. Are you. Able to dig Year round? And have any idea the years for blob tops. Congrats on finding the pontil puff. Have 2 myself
Nice find! Those are fun bottles. As for digging the last few winters have been mild enough for year-round digging. The blobs are mostly early 1900s.
Awesome video and bottle finds! My son Lew and I like the Somerville milk bottle . We are looking forward to watching more of your videos. We wish you good health and luck. Take care and happy hunting to you.=-----Jeffrey Hull Jr. (Jeff & son Lew.)
Thanks Jeff!
I didn't know you collected "half Providence bottles" 😊 I haven't seen that amber one before. Nice flint too!
Yeah lol, what happened with that one is they started the company in Boston and moved to Providence next year. They kept the bottles marked Boston but changed the labels.
Old, old bottles there, congratulations!!! Very nice finds!❤
I honestly think you finding the wooden chest chock full of awesome old bottles is so friggin excellent 😃 What a dig, some you've never found before and some regulars.
I love your pot lid, I've never seen that one before. Congrats it's gorgeous...
Great job
The paste pot lid is so cool 😃 you finding the bucket lister bottles is awesome 😊 Are the dumps you dig on public land or on private permissions? I've got to do some real research for dumps around here. I would so love to find old embossed meds, whiskies, wines, inks and sodas!!
Thanks! This one is on public property, I'd say most of my spots are but some of the best I've dug were private!
Congrats on the beautiful pot lid!!! I like the maple syrup bottle and the gorgeous Shepherd Co. Bottle!❤
Thanks Cynthia!
Great video
Thanks Chris!
Great video
Boom let's go let's go treasure and adventure ✌👵
Sweet finds. Love the ring. Was the stone a ruby or garnet?
I believe it was glass, but still looks nice!
Your dump collection is amazing. I loved all the colored bottles at the end. My favorite is the golden amber Emerson. Thanks for sharing!!!
Nice looking bottles. I live on New Zealand and I don’t get the chance to go digging at the moment. But love the hunt of not knowing what is under the ground until you dig.
The 1st IHP is an 1863. What was the mint mark on that very worn Merc? The date looked like 1916 and I was hoping you'd found a D. I believe the silver item that you thought was an earring was actually a bent up ladys hat pin. 2 SLQs 😮 bravo!!!
I think you're right on the Indian! I got the order mixed up in the finds at the end. There was no mint mark on the Merc sadly.
@@RIBottleguy no sweat. Your hunts and finds were amazing for this Texas detectorist to watch!!
What a great hunt!!! Silvers, IHPs, and that beautiful plaque...awesome!❤
Have you checked your dateless Standing Liberty quarters for Type 1 attributes, specifically for the 1916? That one you showed at 2:25 looked like it could be one, but hard to tell.
New sub here! Keep up the great work!
Thanks!
Great video
Incredible finds, thanks for sharing.
I found a Maison Borin lid in my Texas city creek. It was a happy find 😊 You've found so many evened bottles and jars in that dump. The jugs are top tier finds to me!! Added last. I love cobalts. The inks are sweet too!! Any embossed poison is at the top of my bottle bucket list 👍
Epic indeed! I’m a RI bottle hunter (more of a creek walker) as well so it’s fun to see what you guys find. Love hearing the history behind the bottles, thanks for sharing!
Thanks Digrrr! Happy hunting!
a treasure trove of history saved 🙌 well done
SUCH a shame this has been covered over with so so much more potentially undug. Youve had a heap load from it, so thats to be thankful, but still cant help but think what else remains and it was the right age as well
boom let's go let's go treasure and adventure ✌👵
