Kinaros is an amazing place! We visited again last year freediving on the big wreck in the W bay, visiting the church and the abandoned village and staying overnight in the E bay (not where Irene lives but the one immediately E of it). We came to say hi to Irene, but could not have any conversation, because to our surprise it has turned out that the good lady speaks no English! How could this be if she apparently spent decades of her life in Australia?! Something is not right in this story then... The experience of visiting Kinaros is very special. On the hill between the bays one sees many ruins of the old settlement and abundance of broken pottery shows that the island was inhabited since ancient (antique) times, but it was already in our times when the last baby was born on the island and the last resident that was born on the island has moved away (or died). Thus, once an uninhabited and wild island has returned (or about to return) to what it was thousands of years ago... Congratulation on the great footage of Kinaros and Levitha (which is also a fantastic place)!

Wow, nice video and it ties up a lot of things for me! I often look at a Piraeus port webcam and remembered this new ship parked in front of the Blue Star Delos. I checked a marine traffic website and saw it was a new ferry along with the name. Later I saw a UA-cam video made with a drone of this ship entering Piraeus port. UA-cam just recommended this video and I seen it’s the same ship, I got to see the whole passage from Sweden to Greece.
