Refilling life with life: Alexandra Bălășoiu, Cosmin Manolescu & Ema Alexandrescu
Meet the artists. Alexandra Bălășoiu, Cosmin Manolescu, Ema Alexandrescu: Refilling life with life. Working on the project “Game of Life”, Alexandra, Ema and Cosmin shared in this interview their thoughts on this project along with their views and motivations for dance, the space and time for dance and on what the body can voice and allow others to see, feel, understand. “Game of life” is about questioning the way we are seeing and perceiving things, sensitive topics / a research to find new ways to connect with people / a space of dialogue between us and the audience / it’s a journey into emotions. “Game of Life” brings an opportunity to reframe the ways we position ourselves to our own lives and the lives of the others, an opportunity to refill life with life and to take it more seriously, but in a playful way.
A sharing process of “Game of Life” is scheduled to take place at AREAL in Bucharest on November 21, 2024.
Interview by Mara Mărăcinescu/ Sunete pe bune and Ștefania Ferchedău. Additional footage from the artists’ working process in Bucharest, Porto and Agueda in 2024. performing utopia is a content thread developed in the frame of WHAT'S NEXT? programme.
