I totally agree with this message and brought me to remember my experience with my former church. Just as what Ps. Doug said, the mindset of many churches today is for themselves and not for the kingdom of God. Many churches today wants ‘quantity’ rather than ‘quality’. I know this because I used to work for one, for about 7.5 years and they always ask about the numbers of baptisms from me since I would help coordinate the event then. Eventually, I realized that these are Christians who know nothing, which is sad and I was a product of that from this church. They would eventually get the “leaders” of small groups from this church to lead others - again, who doesn’t know the Bible but only being led by what some pastors write or just read a Christian book as material. The sad part is when you share about the truth, they would give you all sorts of reasons using the Bible and/ or just ignore you. I left and found SDA and am very thankful for the study of the truth that had enlightened me.
