Absolutely!
I’ve had some gorgeous swims in the lark by my cousins house, but last time got awful swimmers’ itch. It’s not a deal-breaker, but if I’d known I’d have scrubbed down with hibiscrub quickly afterwards. It was in the summer too, which maybe isn’t the best time …… Anyway - enjoy!
It can be a big problem, especially if the weeds have overtake that particular stretch of the river. Prickwillow is mostly clear of them but some people have had issues with swimmers itch there a few times this summer.

All the aquatic life and being in such a peaceful place for a few hours 😍 watching you guys swim so gracefully with the huge fish (is it a whale shark?) What an experience 😮😮
It is a whale shark yes. There were actually two of them, when I turned around filming this one, there was another one following me.
Do they have secure lockers? From my hazy memory, I seem to remember that a few years ago they only had baskets or something very close to the pool?
Yes there are lockers available at the Lido.

Please don't swim in British waters, they were ok a couple of years ago but now there's so much sewage in them you will immediately get sick.
We are a UK Open Water Swimming company. There are certainly huge problems in the UK waterways but there are options that are still good for swimming.

1 min in and I'm done. Swim most days for half a year, can assure you absolutely nobody does this, we just get in and have fun, sigh.
I suppose it depends how you train. You do whatever works for you but I would be surprised to find any coach who would recommend not warming up before a sport. It is as much injury prevention as anything else. I always warm up before a swim so somebody definitely does this.
