Joker Avispa - Backyard Review

I actually shot a review of this blade a few months back during the winter with lots more footage. Computer crashed so I decided to at least give a little something from the backyard today. Do you have an Avispa? What do you like about it?

With the eldris knife you can use the sheath to extend the handle giving you a better grip

would have been helpful to know WHY the sheath was "garbage" in your opinion.

A short blade is often preferable to a longer one. But the handle should be long enough to protrude the bottom of the hand. This is my preference anyhow.

K, let’s be real here. This has already been done in the Mora Eldris. I’ll give it the made in America, better steel?, and probably tougher…but already done.

I've become a big fan of Bear Forest Knives. I got The Simple regular size with the thicker blade. Wonderful piece of cutlery! The only modifications I made were I put a pinky loop on the end and I switched to a leather cross draw sheath. I will definitely be buying more from this manufacturer.

I know this is a decently old video but thank you truly so much for this video. I haven’t seen any other in depth testing of this knife and it truly means a lot. Love the look of the spoon aswell!!

Hey! I truly think and believe you should make more videos!! Just do your passion and explain your technic and knowledge of your skills. You explain very well and do a great job! You definitely need to teach and show your skills! Please! That would be awesome! Thankyou! I'm truly looking forward to more reviews! You did a great job! :)

I just got mine about a half an hour ago. Did a quality control inspection from head to toe. I give it 100% quality assured. Wow, this knife is everything you want in a smaller bushcraft knife. There's not one issue. Razor sharp and I mean scary sharp. I thought a lot about steels. This is not the best steel, but it can easily be sharpened. Bark River knives? Watch out because joker knives are much better.

Great review! Enjoy the thorough testing and thoughts. What was that birch container for? It looked awesome

Sorry YT didn't notify me of this comment! I have made some birch containers for a few different things. If they are tight, I'll use them for water. If they are hole filled or not clean, I'll use them to hold tinder or keep things dry when it's snowing or raining out. For a while I had a really thick bark piece which I made for matches when I used matches for storage. At one point I used a birch container as a sheath because it had a loop on it, but that wasn't very convenient. Thanks for watching man!

Think you sold me on this guy I might have to pull the trigger. I’ve got to many knives! Have a few AEBL knives I’m not that much of a fan of the steel but can’t beat the thin blade geometry.

That looks great been trying to find a smaller scandi grind knife with a thinner blade stock. Makes for ease of sharpening and can do some food prep. Keeps the blade stronger when thinner.
