Hi everybody, I am Bri.😊 At the moment I am on a parental leave with my kids, so I spend most of my time at home.
I chose the name of my channel because I am in my mid 30-ties, I live in the middle of Europe and I am in the middle of figuring out how to navigate my life as a housewife and mom of 2 very lively boys. Therefore I am inTHEmiddle of a little "chaos" all the time.
I am trying to create a little sanctuary for my family out of our village house which was built by my grandmother in the 70-ties. I know my passions are way bigger than my skills, but that´s not stopping me and I am trying my best anyway.❤️

The time has come... it´s November, so we should make Sour Cabbage. Join me and my family as we are making a very traditional food that is very good for your health.
I have a small To Do List, just like everyday, so we will check that.
I will make some delicious and simple recipes as we try to enjoy the autumn weather.
I hope you will join me and you will watch until the end.

Sour Cabbage:
The recipes are changing accordint to the region they are made, but the basic measure is:
For 1 kilogram cabbage 1 tbsp whole cumin, 1 tbsp whole black pepper, 1 tbsp salt, 3-4 bay leaves, you can add some slices of onion and apples.
For the bottom is recommended to use a piece of bread or some grapes to help start the fermentation.
The jars that should be used are ceramics or glass.
The cabbage should be stuffed in the jar and pressed so it "sweat" so it´s becomes watery. The cabbage should be always under water. Let it in room temperature from 7 days to a couple of weeks. Depends on the fermentation progress.
