Bluey has a RevMax 550 currently, and has held up fine.... until it didn't. 5th and 6th gear (overdrives) started slipping and we can't be having that. So we pulled out the trans and we are sending it off to them to freshen it up, and get this thing to where it'll hold the 600ish horse this truck is putting down. Come along on this journey, and see what we end up with!

    So why can't you just keep the cylinder assembled? Use the cylinder end eye bolt to hold that end. Use the preload adjustment wrench to hold the rod end cap and screw the new eye bolt in until it hits the preload stop inside (the washer thing with flat spots). I'm gonna try my way and see if it works. 😂

      Their is a nut in the inside that will spin,(not adjust correctly). And it all gets replaced with new. Some swear they can adjust the factory to their liking. But not near enough for me. Good luck with it.

    Hey good afternoon I’m looking to install some bigger injectors on my truck trying to figure out up to what size I can install without any tuning

    • @kingfabandoffroad8203
      @kingfabandoffroad8203 Місяць тому

      As a rule of thumb, any size over stock you should tune for. But you can get away with 45 overs really without horrible side effects. Little haze at idle. But otherwise will run fine for you.

    So you don’t need to take the bed off to weld the top part of the plate? I have the kit just bought my welder. Gonna do my 98 Tacoma soon.

    • @kingfabandoffroad8203
      @kingfabandoffroad8203 Місяць тому

      Although the instructions claim you don’t have to take off the bed, I would highly recommended taking it off to get to everything better. And for paint/coating reasons. The beds normal come off with little issues. Toyota used good bolts on all that.

    • @Breakitandfixit
      @Breakitandfixit Місяць тому

      @ yes I’ve taken the bed off before and put a newer one. Unfortunately the threads got messed up for the bolts to install the bed on one corner. But I’ll have to tap and die and put a different bolt.

    • @Breakitandfixit
      @Breakitandfixit Місяць тому

      Also I’m doing it all by myself so Igs good fun taking the bed off. I’ve also done that alone in the past. Just gotta be careful and patient. I’d like to paint it after. I know having the bed off would be necessary. I’m using a flux core welder which Iknow have lots of heat. Plan to keep a fire extinguisher on hand. Do you think it’s necessary to remove fuel tank?

    • @Breakitandfixit
      @Breakitandfixit Місяць тому

      @ no I’ve just carefully inched the bed back and forth till I can get it’s rear end on the ground. Then I prop it up with a 2x4 and pull the bedless truck forward.

      I am now currently at 800 miles, and almost all of that’s been in low range doing rock crawling type wheeling. It could benefit from a little better clutch system for take off in high, but I rarely worry about that. Bike performs amazing honestly how it is, and I’m a believer in factory clutch/belts. @nickylape8264 typically people say to always have them not loaded simply so you don’t mess up the treads on the hold down bolts. On removal not really an issue, but always a good practice when going back together. And I always like to keep everything in the same spot. And be carefully and thorough with your valve lash when done.

  • @gwebocelestron9194
    @gwebocelestron9194 6 місяців тому

    Ten years in my door handle broke just like yours on my 2001 Tacoma. My fix - baling wire. All you need is about 5 inch length of baling wire. Drill two 1/8 inch holes from the outside handle part through the inside handle part. Run the wire through both holes and twist the wire with your fence pliers. Clip off the excess wire. 13 years later still working great. I left the wire a little long. Makes for a great anti-car jacking device. Anyone trying to grab the handle quickly to jack my car is going to get shredded fingers.
