Hi Michael! yes, the bigger stages / acts are usually packed, but there was always space to move around the edges. it's definitely a lot chiller earlier in the day during the lunch time acts (a lot of people still recovering from the night before too), then things start to ramp up around mid afternoon. It was consistently busy but there will always be pockets of space to sit and hang. I recommend a big meal before you go and trying to eat at "off hours" because the lines for the food and drink stalls were pretty crazy. and always buy merch as early as possible. so excited for you!!

not sure if this is a new rule, but I remember they were quite strict about larger cameras / SLR's especially if they had any type of lens! I used the Sony ZV 1 and they let me through. best of luck! 😊

Hi Michelle! Yes, what really helped me was looking at the overall schedule in the app and highlighting which acts I wanted to catch. There were 3 categories: 1 - non-negotiable (my all time favorite, “must see” acts) 2 - bands I loved / was familiar with but could be interchangeable 3 - new acts I had never heard of / seen but was curious about Category 1 was of course the priority, then from there I would block out the time for group 2, and if there was any space or free time then I could check out some of the ones in group 3.

Based on this system, if there are two bands you like that are performing at the same time then you’ll have to make a sacrifice and choose! It helps to map everything out so you can maximize the area you’ll be in and you you can account for bathroom and snack breaks and travel time between stages. It also helps when you plan to coordinate with some friends so you can send them your schedule ahead; or if they ask you where you plan to be at a certain time you can give them a straightforward answer.

As for getting a spot close to the stage, I suggest being there as early and already positioning yourself when the previous act is playing, so when they're done and the crowd leaves you can be one of the first to run up front or in the middle to claim your spot. Hi Doha, my top Primavera tips would be: 1. Book a place near Parc del Forum - or at least figure out your exit strategy or mode of transportation when it’s time to go home! trains close early, buses are full and the cabs will swindle you! Haha 2. Stay hydrated and be prepared for all types of weather 3. Download the Primavera Sound app so you can plan out which stages to go to in advance (also helps to account for travel time)...and so you can also check out the gigs happening before and after the official festival dates 4.
