Hakeem Olajuwon is above Shaq all day, everyday. And remember he and the Rockets swept Shaq and the heavily favored Orlando Magic in the 1995 NBA Finals. The Magic was loaded but they didn't have Hakeem. The Rockets had The Dream who was a nightmare to Shaq and the Magic. Hakeem is better than Shaq, way better. And remember Michael Jordan had Hakeem Olajuwon as Center on his dream team. That speak volumes within itself.

Basketball is a two way game. Both shaq and hakeem were great offensive players. I'd give the advantage to hakeem for the diverse low post moves and free throw shooting. Shaq basically just dunked on people because of pure strength. But hey if you want to put shaq ahead offensively its ok by me, but its close. However on the defensive end there's no debate hakeem was much better on the defensive end. Hakeem should have been in the top 3. He was a 5 tool player who never had a supporting cast. He could score rebound pass play defense and block shots. If Houston had drafted Jordan Olajuwon would've had 5 rings at least. Chamberlain and Russell were ahead of their time. Look at the rebounding totals. Not even Rodman or Cage coul to come close to those.
