This video seems to start after the instruction about how to do the switch. NOt helpful at all
can only get the left side to connect
Why is only one hearing aid is bieng paired and the blue light turns red.
@@roger.j.hillier_designs.un-ltd the hearing aids need to be paired to each other for you by a hearing care professional.
Does the pairing of TV streamer and my HAs automatically bring up the accessories icon on the Thrive app? The accessories icon does not appear in the Thrive app when not using the TV streamer.
@@sallysnow9618 well if you’ve connected your hearing aids to the streamer, then the streamer should show up in the app. It could be under current memory. Click on that, otherwise try re-pairing it.
There is only one audio out and if I use it on my TV it kills the sound on the TV. It considers that I'm plugged in a headset and there is no other sound. So the only way I can use this is to be the only one watching TV and I have to go plug in a wire to the side of the TV every time I want to use it. it came with the wrong charger cable so they actually sell this device with a cable that doesn't even match the port on the device. Starkey is really messing up on this stuff. It's bad instruction. It's just not following through on the reality of what exist for a television.does this work with a black-and-white or something?
@@RangeOfSubjects sorry to hear you had a bad experience. If you bought the device online, it would not be from the manufacturer. To do so you would have to go through an audiologist or a hearing aid dispenser with an account with Starkey to get the device brand new and make sure that it has the correct charging cord. But your audiologist should be able to help you find the correct cord. If your TV that has the headphone jack only then you are correct. You can use that audio output port, but it will cut off the sound to your TV. I would suggest that you get a newer TV with RCA or digital optical audio out jacks. If you can’t do that then there is a microphone that you can get from your audiologist who can get it from Starkey that plugs into the TV streamer and then you use Velcro to attach it to the speaker of the television, therefore even a soft audio signal can be magnified pretty loud using the streamer. I hope that helps! Thank you.
do you know how to connect it to a computer
You could connect it to the headphone jack on your computer using the red and white RCA cables and the adaptor. Alternatively you could use another device called the Remote Microphone + which is wireless and connects your computer to the hearing aids using Bluetooth. Your audiologist should be able to help you with this.
There are two of us with hearing aids, Phonak. The TV connector they gave us dosn't work. Can I connect two people to this unit at once and can I use my remote control to adjust the volume and channels or some app? Thank you
Yes if both sets of hearing aids are Phonak and both have the ability to connect to your smartphones then they can be connected to the same Phonak tv device.
Thank you, really appreciate the advice.
My Dad does not have a smart phone. Can he still use this device?
Yes he can. Ask his audiologist to activate the program button or double tap feature to activate streaming. Then he can turn it on with the hearing aid button or by tapping the hearing two times. But this has to be set up by the audiologist. Thank you
Hello your video has been very helpful in the setup and I was able to connect to the TV directly. Is it possible to connect the streamer to a AV reciever? Thank you.
This is extremely helpful. Does my Au.D. need to program the Accessory option. I do not seem to have it it. Thank you
In the My Starkey app after you have paired the TV streamer click on My Hearing then Accessories. On the Thrive app click on the “Accessories” icon on the bottom of the screen.
What can I do to get this box to work if I don't have an IPhone (ie cannot click on this Thrive App?)
Thank you for your question. The program button on your hearing aid can be configured by your audiologist to “press and hold” or possibly “double tap” can be used to activate the streamer. You can get the 2.4 GHz remote control and connect it and the star shaped button on the remote is for activating the TV streamer. Your audiologist can help.
Thank you: I couldn't get my mother's Evolv's to pair... until I placed them on top of the streamer as in the video.
That’s awesome! Thank you
Thank you for this information & attention to this “tool” that can also be used as sound/ management tool for those living with or in close proximity to others in apartments/retirement building. Listener can enjoy at comfortable volume without fear of disturbing others .
Thank you so much. My aim is to connect people to each other using hearing technology and ultimately increase their level of happiness!
This isn't working on my dads tv...you can barrrrrrrely hear a voice in the hearing aid, could the tv be too old?
Some tvs do not have the proper connection. Assuming yours is up to date can make sure the hearing aids are connected to the TV the streamer and it is connected to the TV and powered on. You can activate the streamer through the smartphone app. I recommend consulting with your audiologist or hearing instrument specialist if you are still having trouble. Thank you
@@christopherwahlau.d.doctor9042 thanks for the replying....we did some troubleshooting and got it working 👍
I have one hearing aid. Love going to concerts. But I am really struggling to hear the music and the people I am with. Any tips for setting a program for it?
There are many things you could do to achieve the results you are looking for. I recommend discussing these issues with your Audiologist or Hearing Instrument Specialist. Start with these questions. Is your hearing test current within the last 12 months? Can you use two hearing aids? Does your hearing aid have a smartphone app? Does your level of technology match your listening needs? Thank you.
Where do the red and white plug ins go? Very poor video
Red and white plug ins go to audio out on the back of your tv
I have had these hearing aids for years, and I still cannot switch back and forth between my hearing aids and iPhone for streaming media. I have no trouble with the telephone because the icon is right there. But there is no icon when listening to media, podcasts, etc. Can you help. I tried to search google, oticon but they don't explain this.
I have the same question. Tired of undoing my hearing aids.
First make sure your hearing aids are streaming ready under iPhone settings, accessibility, hearing devices. While playing audio media go to the iPhone control screen by swiping diagonally from the top right. The media square has a little triangle with circles above it. Click on that triangle to bring up your audio routing options. Consult your Audiologist or hearing instrument specialist if still having issues.
I agree!
our app does not have an accessories tab at the bottom.
There should be a symbol at the bottom of the updated Thrive app that looks like a little TV remote control. That’s the accessories tab.
Still lost
Sorry to hear that. What problems are you having with your hearing aids?
Looking for something to send to my 90-year-old mother who doesn’t have any patience with these sorts of things. Could you remake this video without all the noise/music/sound in the background? Can’t understand what you’re saying

@@christopherwahlau.d.doctor9042 thank you for your help! I have Starkey Livio hearing aids that I got in July 2019, and they worked with an iPhone.
