My CFA Level 1 Failure Story: 5 Mistakes to Avoid
Welcome to my channel!!
Hi everyone, welcome back to my channel. Today, I want to share with you my personal experience of failing the CFA Level 1 exam. I'll be discussing the top reasons why I think I didn't pass, in the hopes that it can help you avoid making the same mistakes.
*Reason 1: Insufficient Practice Questions*
Firstly, I didn't practice enough questions. I know it sounds obvious, but I underestimated the importance of practice. I thought I could get away with just reading the material and attending classes, but that wasn't enough. I should have practiced more questions to reinforce my understanding of the concepts.
*Reason 2: Too Many Study Resources*
Secondly, I had too many study resources at my disposal. With so many UA-cam channels, study groups, and course providers, I found it hard to choose one and stick to it. I ended up randomly preparing from different sources, which led to confusion and a lack of focus.
*Reason 3: Not Focusing on CFA Curriculum Questions*
Thirdly, I didn't focus enough on the CFA curriculum questions. I should have practiced more questions from the official CFA curriculum, rather than relying on third-party resources. The curriculum questions are designed to test your knowledge and understanding of the material, so it's crucial to practice those.
*Reason 4: Not Reviewing Wrong Answers*
Fourthly, I didn't review the questions I got wrong. When I practiced questions, I didn't take the time to review the ones I got wrong and understand where I went wrong. This meant that I kept making the same mistakes over and over again.
*Reason 5: Lack of Consistency*
Lastly, I lacked consistency in my studying. I would study for a few days, then take a break, and then come back to it. This made it hard to retain information and build momentum. Consistency is key when it comes to studying for the CFA exam.
*Conclusion*
In conclusion, these are the top reasons why I think I failed the CFA Level 1 exam. I hope that by sharing my mistakes, I can help you avoid making the same ones. Remember to practice consistently, focus on the CFA curriculum questions, review your mistakes, and stay consistent. Good luck with your studies!

Hi, do you recommend fintree for online coaching? What are your views. And also can you please suggest more online coaching other than this.
@@Sakshyyyy Ashwini Bajaj , Sanjay Saraf bhi hai waise unka live and offline is nice
@@GeeTalks-g9e and fintree?
Few of my friends who have cleared the CFA level 1 shared that in exam only basic stuff is asked, no need to spend much time on difficult topics and mostly very less sums and numerical questions are being asked, like one should be clear with the base which would be helpful for level 2 and 3 So is it true or not
What's your age? Clear your 12 first 😅😅😂😂
AR U DOING SOME OTHER COURSE WITH CFA? OR JUST CFA. LIKE WHAT OTHER DEGREES U HAVE?
I'm looking for a study partner for Feb 2025 for accountability purposes and to curb procrastination. Studying for cfa can get lonely at times so I guess that would help. P.S Just gave my August 2024 exam and I just don't feel good about how it went. I'll still continue my level 1 studies instead of just waiting for results. I'm gonna try and give it in February 2025 again.
WHAT else u r doing with cfa?
How to start study for CFA as a beginner
You're beautiful 😍
Hello , Karan here . Quick Intro - As of now I'm a 12th passout and I'm preparing for CFA Level 1 . And I'm confused from what study material should I prepare? 1. Schweser or 2. Curriculum Schweser - Easy to study Readings get completed in few hours . But the content is less and not Fully covered and I think we can't rely on this book . But many people have passed by studying through Schweser. Curriculum - Best knowledge material. Lengthy material Takes lot of time and sometimes even days to complete 1 reading only . But the book is reliable . So what should I prefer ?
@@karanjain1467 just use shweser !

I can suggest a good offline coaching for CFA for people in Mumbai as I have already enrolled there. Kindly dm if want to know more.

Lot of people are telling that cfa is not the right choice. I'm doing my 2nd year bba and want to pursue cfa. What's your opinion in this?
