I don't understand why you say curch bells can be "very annoying. " Also Catholic church bells do not mainly ring for the Angelus, but for the Mass. The Angelus bells are rung twice a day, except perhaps in monasteries.

I read an article many years ago that layed out that Latin is the birthright of Catholics. I wasn't even thinking about becoming Catholic at that time, but the notion of Latin as a birthright resonated with me. I've now been a convert for 8½ years, and I'm learning how to pray in Latin.

My New Year’s resolution is to learn to pray by memory the Rosary and Chaplet of Mercy prayers in Latin. This is the first resolution I have kept past January 2nd.

I just prayed the Rosary in Latin for the first time, and it was amazing! It felt like I was transported back to ancient times, connecting with all the beloved Saints.

Jesus Did not speak Latin, he prayed in Hebrew. Why is latin on such a pedestal when Our Lord did not even pray in that language. Why all of this just seems fabricated conjecture that it's any more special than any other language. Have any of you studied hebrew and their characters It's amazing.
