Great projection. The projector(s) definitely had enough punch to hit white. However, not so great mapping. It's a shame, really. I love Ren's music and think that a lot could be done with projection mapping on the right structure.

There's still an argument to be had that Ren really isn't rapping, and he can't rap. For example, if you look at Hip Hop legends like Day Lyt, K-Shine, K-Rhino, Big L, Busta Rhymes, Immortal Technique, Chris Webbie, Black Thought, Method Man, Rone, Ave, even Lunar-C, ren really can't rap with the legands and really skilled lyricists in Hip Hop culture. Even classics like Tu Pac, Biggie, Big Pun, Nas, Jay C, Ren can't compare to them.

When I saw the title I was ready for a verbal attack. But English is not my native language and I didn’t understand the message, so instead of being angry I was being confused and I decided to read the reactions to this video. And slowly I started to realize this is a pro Ren vid. Damn, you got away with this one! 😅 56 year old man, rap has never been my thing, but I’ve always had an open mind when it comes to art. It’s been only three weeks ago when I was first introduced to Ren, thanks to the UA-cam algorithm. It was the song ‘Hi Ren’ (of course). I was blown away and I still am. I literally didn’t sleep at least 7 or 8 nights during these last three weeks, because I was obsessed by watching reaction videos made by UA-cam content creators, reacting to ‘Hi Ren’. It’s a frustrating way of killing time, because with most of these videos I only felt angry, because a lot of these stupid reactors refused to cry (something I couldn’t stand, because I still find it hard NOT to cry, even after seeing Ren’s video a hundred times or more), or I was just getting annoyed by all these idiots who pause every second and thereby completely failed to see the whole work in the way it’s supposed to be. How the fuck can you react to music or other forms of art when you don’t consume it the way it’s supposed to be ‘consumed’…: in ONE PIECE! Ren didn’t put all this work in it just so that people can chop it up, throw in some idiotic opinions, press play again, pause it to tell about the lighting (as if he or she is the only one to notice)…, why am I even watching these videos? It’s like someone telling how to look at a Rembrandt, zooming in on some obvious details, while never giving you the painting in its entirety. Anyway, I don’t have to tell you why I think he’s amazing. Perfection emotes, honesty emotes, music emotes, carefully chosen words emote, truth emotes, art emotes. Ren made and makes work that has all of this in spades. I could go on forever. There are many good reasons, both from a more technical point of view as well as a personal perspective of recognition and emotions, why I’m so blown away by his work, so I won’t bother you any further. I’m just glad I didn’t need to be an old keyboard warrior for once. Thanks! ❤
