This happened to me in real time. The only down side is that I didn't die. I became vengeful, grief stricken and full of hate. I'm adrift, in a sea of emotional indifference. The hate produces more than the mind can fathom. The sadness produces moments of hope, destroyed by the reality of what is.

When the spirit is here even the dark will shake in fear to remember their king. God is more terrible and benevolent than anything in creation and anything that will ever be. The coming is nigh for the king is already returning. Humanity is constantly awakening.
Still my favorite part from Todd McFarland’s Spawn. And among other things, this whole clip defines who Spawn, who Al really is and his story. Not a forced warrior of hell, not a tormented creature or a former butcher in soldier’s gear, but a sad man who lost everything because of Malbolgia’s deception, who wants to get everything back if he can, but still somebody can become a better Human than he was in his past life.

He even made a small smile at the fact that Spawn had spared Billy’s life. Looking at the Violator, Batman’s smile faded back into his signature scowl. The Dark Knight was sickened that the creature had killed someone and that this demon and its disguise reminded him almost TOO MUCH of the Joker. “Malebolgia will pay for this.” he said.)
