Hummingbird Flicker's Flying Ballet
Переглядів 739 років тому
This is my pal Flicker. Every morning when I come out to sit and watch the hummingbirds fly all around, Flicker comes and sits about a foot away from me making sure other hummers don't touch his feeder. I guess you can add me to list of many hummingbird whisperers lol
Neumann U67 Microphone Appraisal
Переглядів 13 тис.15 років тому
David O. Brown has been a Neumann microphone specialist for the past 30 years. Residing in Agoura, California, his close proximity to the recording mecca in Hollywood, makes him the first choice for the studios when they need their microphones serviced. This mic is owned by 60's rocker Phil "Fang"Volk, of Paul Revere and the Raiders, who shot this video, and whose voice is heard conversing with...

Переглядів 633 тис.15 років тому
Paul Revere & the Raiders, iconic rock and roll band from the 1960's, appear on Hollywood Palace in late 1966 with host Ray Bolger, the famous scarecrow from The Wizard of Oz. The Raiders play "The Great Airplane Strike" which is based on fact when all planes are grounded forcing the Raiders to bus their way to their next gig, but also providing a story line for this original song. The Raiders ...

The Penguin (Burgess Meredith) runs for mayor of Gotham City and Paul Revere & the Raiders are his campaign Band at his rally. The Raiders play live backing up a belly dancer, girl singers and the Penguin himself. Batman (Adam West) is running against the Penguin and is not doing so well. Members featured in the Raiders are: Drake Levin, Jim Harpo Valley, Phil Fang Volk, Mike Smitty Smith, Mark...
Best group EVER!!! Mark is one fantastic lead.
"The Paul Revere and the Raiders," everything back then was THE. Haha...
Eins meiner absoluten Lieblingslieder ❤
I have that same bass as Fang's ❤
Like to back to 1966 !
Those guys are Still Good and So Funny way they joke around!
These artisited was fantastical, those timed I admired'em so talented, and over underrated too I saw 'em many timed, on t.v. Ed Sullivan's, showed he's hosted and watched 'em other's showed, Holly wood, palaces, Mr Mark Lindsay, no longers here's, has passed defintioned terms, died,
Anyone know if that’s Jim Gordon in drums?
Mike Smith "Smitty"
I saw a taping of Its Happening in this building with the Raiders Tommy James and the shondells and Shelly Berman such a great show
Paul revere and the raiders...awesome AF...but I didn't realize you could Bluetooth guitars in the 60s
The haircuts were so original.
Their song Indian Reservation is a classic and should be regarded as a one of the most meaningful songs of the 20th Century
Did they ever play live????
Excuse Me To The Uneducated One WHO Said first time playing instruments MAN I Have Been listening to them since I was 13 years old they Play Instruments!! Stupid 😊
OMG Burgess Meredith is RAPPING.
One of my favorite groups when I was so damn much younger😊
Halloween !!👻 costumes how ridiculous they looked 🎉
Dumb clothes and a real stupid band name…should have called themselves “Revere” and also cut out the two guitarists dancing together in sync…great songs though.
Got to see Mark Lindsey about two years ago. Still does pretty well
Definitely Deserves to be in the ROCK and ROLL HALL of FAME.
No 3 Corner Hats what's going on here?
One of my favorites by them was Cherokee Nation
Love the red on these gorgeous guys...
UNFINGREAL
They sound like The Rolling Stones on this song
My friends, the Penguin party stands for Mother, Country, The Flag, Alpha Alpha and Quack!
If anyone is interested ,the gentleman introducing Paul Revere & The Raiders is non other than Ray Bolger who was the Scarecrow from the wizard of oz !!! How cool is that 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
if he only had a brain. lol
Great video....!
Is the Ed Sullivan Show the only program that allowed bands to actually plug in and do a live performance?
Agree totally with all the positive comments. Lindsey and Revere also wrote a lot of their hits as well as playing their own instruments. Saw them regularly on "Where the Action Is." The band predated the British Invasion and as someone else noted their dance/rhythm choreography was actually rooted in the 50's r and b/ rock n' roll style ( I. e. Gene Vincent's blue caps, Midnighter's with Hank Ballard and even Bill Hayley's Comets " PRR are not in the RRHOF because of that reason along the majority of doo wop groups and unbelievably Little Junior Parker who performed the first bonafide Rock a Billy record predating Elvis .."Love My Baby". in 1953. Parker died broke in south suburban Chicago Blue Island in 1971.
Lip synching. Sad.
Can't believe I found found this, I was in the audience, no pan of it but I was there.
Sadly you rarely if ever see them playing live on tv which is a shame because they were great musicians. I know cause I saw that lineup back in the day .
PR&TRs are just high energy rock and roll. Love 'em!
Fun band back then
Sure would like to see some video of real live performances rather than lip synching.
Any kid our age did We Adore Good Music And Dick Clark Knew They were Great!
At treat to see Drake Levin and Phil Volk...
The guitarist here is actually Jim “Harpo” Valley, Drake’s replacement
People who think they should be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame you're talking about an organization that inducted Madonna before kiss even though kiss was around 10 years before Madonna came out with her first album
This is great
Brian Volk? Are you related to Fang?!
Choreographed guitar playing, now that’s something you don’t see enough of nowadays.
I understand that the VEGAS RAIDERS were together Longer than the early versions with Mark Lindsay, but the Originals will ALWAYS be the Only ones! Mitch.
What a crime that they are not in HoF!
This was a gimmick that actually worked.
OH SING IT PAUL AND RAIDERS
Phil and Drake had a way of performing they really clicked they knew when each other were going to be moving their guitars and did it to the music so beautifully! I always noticed that when I was a kid!
Not Drake. Jim Harpo Valley
This song rocked…❤
Sorry but, contrary to the opinions stated here, I find this act to be just that an "act" with essentially zero substance
I had poster's of these guy's on my bedroom wall.
