I caught up with the fabulous Jon Braun, lead singer for the Talking Heads tribute band Start Making Sense that proves even tribute bands can still burn down the house. I asked him how the whole "tribute band" thing started, we dug into his (ok, our) intense fandom, whether he ever gets mistaken for David Byrne in real life, and I find out what the original members really think of tribute acts....

I spoke with Chris Frantz back in August. Not knowing yet about this item you have reviewed I asked him whether there were any plans for audiophile vinyl reissues of the Talking Heads catalog and he told me that they were indeed forthcoming. So that indicates that subsequent Talking Heads albums will be receiving this kind of deluxe treatment.
Thanks for checking out the video, it’s cool that you got to talk to Chris and pick up that info. You’d have to think they’ll do this for all the albums, and if that’s the plan then starting with the first album and working forward makes sense
Did that little adapter you put on 45 rpm record have a name? I’ve heard them called record inserts or a 45 rpm spindle adapter, or just a spindle.
The soundburger comes with a little combo LP stabaliser/45 adapter, i’ve heard them called spindle but usually those are specifically those ones that look like a spiral 🌀
