Have done the beaten path 11 times, hoping to do #12 this summer. Did you cross the outlet of rimrock lake? If so what kind of condition was it in? FYI three of my trips are on my site if you look for them.

Appreciate you watching! When we were there we caught up with a ranger at Dewey Lake that had hiked in from the East Rosebud side. He said there was a log that hikers had been using to cross. We didn't want to risk something stupid happening and ending our trip early so we opted to hike back to Clarks Fork. Hopefully that helps and they get that bridge repaired soon, planning on going back in June 2025 but would like to come in from the East Rosebud TH. You're incredibly fortunate to have experienced that landscape on so many occasions. Enjoy your trip!

@@BackcountryBlisters Yes I am aware of my fortune. I used to live in Billings and started hiking there in the 70's when it first opened. I have hiked all over the country and still have not found a place with as much beauty per step as the beartooths. It is a special place no doubt. I have had a chance to explore off the trail too, and some of the best place are the hidden ones.

Another great episode! I was wondering what was going to happen with the bridge issue at Rimrock Lake, and that was answered early in this episode. It is my understanding that bridge might be worked on this year, but that remains to be seen. Hopefully your group is able to return again and finish the last half of that awesome trail. Looking forward to the next episode.😊

I heard there is now a big tree log you can use to pass. But don’t know how much you can trust that. Bringing my sister back in June of 2025! Plan on starting at the East Rosebud Trailhead the next time, assuming the bridge is repaired. Thank you so much for watching, glad you’re enjoying the videos!
