Don't lose until you sell. Also I'm down $2k today and about $4k yesterday, but didn't make a video about it. Stock market is volatile all the time. Look at longterm, not short term unless you are day trading. Overall I'm up close to 30% in the past year and have been hovering around 25% average year over year growth in general.

Oop, so this is where my gains came from the puts

when you buy a stock at a record high then there is a good chance it will drop, but if your holding for long term then you don't worry about it unless it just drops and stays there. One day your portfolio will go up and down by 5K and you wont even blink because 5k doesn't even move the needle.

The probem is you bought too high, I bought at $465 back in December and I'm still up.
