I think this is the first time I've seen Paul stand up to Gene and called him out on his bullshit. Paul has always been the professional focusing on the music and fans, while Gene only focuses on screwing whores and his body count.

I love this. Paul puts Gene in his place. I think he was the only person who could. Gene knew he needed Paul in order to make his money and Paul’s right. Gene needed to stop acting like a pig and treat women with respect. I think Paul saw that enough and shut him down gracefully.

I just realized that this interview was filmed beside the stage of a taping for Dick Clark's New Years Rockin' Eve 12/12/1993 at Disney's Pleasure Island, Orlando, Florida. My brother and I were there for the taping and got to see the band up close. They were great and saw no tension between Gene and Paul. They are very professional when on the stage. Great Era for Kiss.

Paul was pissed off at Gene during this era in KISS. Paul always have the band his absolute 100 percent 24/7/365. Gene was off making shitty films, producing records for bands.
