Ramen 341: The Precursor to Kumamoto Black Garlic Oil Ramen
Kumamoto garlic tonkotsu ramen got its inspiration from several sources around Kyushu, Japan, and has been adapted and upgraded until it became what it is today. Two styles of Kumamoto ramen use garlic - which one is your favourite?

so which option did you guys prefer? i haven't had fresh oyster in a while *drool* i'd prob go for quality. sometimes less is more
@@imba2006 honestly, the curated oysters at Muli was our preferred experience 😁😁
That series about ラーメンare amazing❗️more videos about ramen and the versions in other countries, please

Thanks for the video. Lots of interesting information.

That's so cute 😂 The way you would sometimes agree on things is also really funny
@@TimacherKamar the disagreeements are funnier though 🤣🤣
First time I've seen this video. I've seen other videos about ramen and making ramen and the ramen carts. I am always interested. I am in Ohio US and Instant ramen is readily available. But I have found ways to augment it. So many ideas out there. Thank you and I will watch more.
@@MarcFutoran thank you for the kind words and support. Enjoy your upgraded instant ramen ❤❤
Well the person who created that spoon is long long gone. But yeah nice to know. Now I can hold it correctly❤
Love the passports!
Try pie and mighty in pakenham. They've also won many awards prices are about $6, but awesome pies. Better than cob in springvale
@@pauljones6328 we'll add it to our list for the future, Thank you 🙂🙂
😁👍🏻
Nice video!! You deserve more recognition 🙌
I love this, thank you for sharing. I've always wondered why that spoon was shaped like that.
i love pork so this is right up my alley! i also _cannot_ believe i've never heard of this place because perpetual stews have always fascinated me and a lot of them are on my bucket list, lol. 🍜♥️😋💦 awesome video, can't wait until you reach 10K!
Ooo ok so we don't go out of our way to look it up, but the only other perpetual stew we know (remember, anyway) is the one in Thailand! What are other ones we have to check out? 😍😍 Thanks for your support too!! Hit up Maruboshi, you'll definitely love it!
Looks like this bakery is taking the piss, theyve somehow got awarded and then cashed in and gone factory just to churn out numbers.
@@gusdrivinginaustralia6168 they continue to win awards annually, though? 😮😮
I disagree, so will need to invent a time machine to take me back 3-4000 years to talk to the manager.

as a aussie born currently in nz, you are not wrong, there is maybe one other decent pie place in western australia, but NZ really is just better with pies. Being in NZ for a year now, the food is amazing and coffee is just a cut above the stuff i used to get in Australia (specially qld)
As a nz/ maori i love meet and cheese pies
As a NZ-Asian, same 😁😁
I didn't care about Aussie food compared to nz food...... until I watched this video...
oops
as a nz born aussie, nz wins any cattle category. the beef and dairy are just way better due to the nutrients they get over there compared to the malnourished snake eating cows of australia
There's a reason why Australian wagyu and angus beef is known all around the word, while people couldn't care less about New Zealand's beef...
@@Fitz1993 Because we want that goddamn New Zealand Lamb! Beautiful shite.
@xander1052 Oh yeah, New Zealand lamb is great.
new zealand rules!
As a kiwi, I was in Melbourne recently and although so much of the food was incredible, my partner and I found ourselves really disappointed by the beer, coffee, and lack of fish and chips. NZ does it better
You were disappointed by the coffee in Melbourne? I don't know... Most that other stuff Melbourne isn't really known for, but if you were disappointed by the coffee you either went somewhere really shit, or you went into having already decided you weren't going to like it.
@@Fitz1993 We went to a different coffee place every day, but overall found it just wasn't strong enough. My partner took to ordered cortado coffees instead, as the flat whites were all single shots, but in NZ coffees are double shots by standard, so cortados were the closest he could get to an NZ flat white
@PaintballPony So, you just chose not to ask for double shots? What?
CAMBODIA MENTIONED🔥🔥

Have you never watched a Chinese drama? This is always how the cinderella heroine feeds yao to the sick tai-zi or gong-zi ML.
We call it sendok bebek (duck spoon) in Indonesia. Nice tip btw, never knew 😊
I hope to one day visit Sapporo for a miso ramen tour so I enjoyed watching your video. I also found your comment interesting how while Saimi tastes the best it doesn't really represent the classic sapporo miso ramen. I tried both Sumire and Junren's cup ramen and enjoyed both. The only miso ramen I had so far was at Oshima in Tokyo which was known as the best miso ramen in Tokyo and I didn't enjoy it that much. I actually liked Sumire/Junren's cup ramen more. I plan to try to Santora (current #1 miso ramen) next time I'm in Tokyo and of course as mentioned before looking for the chance to visit Sapporo.
Thank you for your kind words! Sumire/Junren miso ramen is very good and has a cult following. We 100% agree the cup noodle is delicious, so will definitely pull customers like you to their physical restaurant 😊😊 We never had miso ramen outside of Sapporo, so you will have to tell us how different it is. Enjoy your trip!
If japanese ramen, then Shoyu. Tonkotsu is good but a bit too fatty(oily?) for me.
I wonder if tampopo from the movie is inspired by Muranaka

@@stopthecycleofabuse9689 nah this is normal, camera or not 😮😮 it takes a couple of seconds to actually taste food, salty, sweet, sour, bitter, etc. With tea, good tea has a bitterness without being astringent. She was pleasantly surprised that she's not experiencing astringency, which actually made the tea very good, not just "It's ok".
That steel spoon is actually in every household who have little kids. I don't know why do they even have that 😂😂😂😂 My mom used to give me tonics with that spoon when I was a toddler 😂
What about Okinawa? No one hears a lot about Okinawa anymore, other than the American Military Base that's over there. My brother-in-law was stationed there.
@@brendaburgner-williams8515 we've never been! 😫😫
Im going for 18 days to japan, I know its very dependant on me but how many days do you recommend staying in Sapporo?
@@antoniodelgado9961 totally dependent! 😁😁 would it be Sapporo only, or other parts of Hokkaido? Which season are you going? Who is going with you (mobility issues)? What is your goal (food, nature, snow activities)? Is this your first time in Japan? How many other cities/regions would you also like to visit? These will definitely affect how we'd answer the question 😊😊 For us, we are super foodie-focused, with a side interest of unique local activities. We didn't end up staying enough days to try every local dish they offered so we wanted to stay more nights, but we were there the longest out of all the cities during the trip because we'd never been there before. It's a lot of compromise!
Ran into my kitchen to see how I normally hold my spoon but it didn't work out cause mines is made of porcelain. My spoon doesn't even have a divot at the tip which makes the method of holding it like in the video less comfortable than my normal grip. Also the fact I never found it awkward to hold in the first place.
@@Shadow247night 👀👀 that sounds like a different spoon
@@TwinSpeakEatGo definitely not 😅 I know a Chinese spoon when I see one. The ones I have in my home are closer to the look of "Syndecho 6pcs green soup spoons bone Chinese dinner spoons "( if you google that since I'm not trying to link stuff on here) in terms of structure. Although as stated even with the other version I still hold it the same way. Though may stand to be corrected if I were to hold a metal one... Haven't seen those type in restaurants in years in my area
@@Shadow247night ahh seems like it's best to stick to your preferred grip 😊😊
