I don’t do well drying roses but will keep trying, yours are beautiful. I ask for paper bags sometimes too, makes good craft paper! Your thrift stores seem to be cheaper than the ones I shop at 😢. I have a doll bed my brother made me and I need to make a new quilt for it, that’s in my to do list now! Look forward to everyone of your videos.

It was in the closet on the top shelf I used to beg her to pull it down for me, she would say oh you don’t want that old tacky thing ha ha Do you know what was the end of the aluminum Christmas trees? It was the Charlie Brown Christmas special In that cartoon they criticize aluminum Christmas trees for being too commercial Two years after it aired the factories that manufactured aluminum Christmas trees had closed.😢 I have a reproduction aluminum tree that I’ve put up in mothers 50s kitchen I don’t have an old one but I do have an old color wheel however it no longer spins I believe it’s in my nifty 50s Christmas video I need to put it up again Merry Christmas Marcy 🎄🎁🤭

Miss marci, in 1959 my family got a 5 foot aluminum tree like yours. We also got a color wheel. My brother was allergic to real tree. Mom always decorated it with blue ornament balls. I loved this video! Laura Ingalls Wilder is a favorite of mine too and our home is very primitive, much like Little House on the Prairie. In many ways their lives were hard because of the hard work but it was also lots more peaceful in the sense that it was no technology, no constant news except word of mouth and families were so tight knit. I love the warmth, coziness and simplicity of it and find a sense of peace away from the chaos in our world. I use my oil lamps, don’t have a cell phone or computer, just an iPad that my grandkids taught me to use, love my favorite candles and still use an old rotary dial phone. Your inspiration and creativity is amazing and love relaxing and watching your channel❤

❤I have a large collection of goofus glass in the guest bedroom I spray all the backs with gold spray paint to make them more stable I’m not worried about value Goofus glass is considered low end by antique dealers but I love it anyway I also have a collection of goofus vases You never see them but they are not reverse painted like the bowls and plates Goofus glass was given as prizes at fairs and carnivals It was always for decorative use only

Marcy! You are such a breath of fresh air -- i really enjoy this video. Wow, a 2.00 bag sale & u found some really neat items. Liked hearing the story of your alls friends too. Like the idea of adding a stained piece of wood to the top of the small bathrm cabinet. Thrifting is so much fun. When we moved little over 3 yrs ago -- i started adding more primitive style items etc to our home. Basically everything was found at thrift stores or yd sales. I did purchase new curtains & bedspreads.

Well… Hunny is on board with your idea for a kitchen countertop. I am so excited, just can’t wait. Oh my goodness! I have heard how my grandmother made two pans of dressing at holidays! One she put oysters in because the 'BOYS liked oyster dressing!!Of course they were grown at the time!! We are southerners so our dressing is made from cornbread and we add white chicken meat to it.
