I'm the only plane spotter in Basel who regularly makes videos with selected aircraft. I'm almost a part of the airport. When I'm not there, people write to me to ask if everything is OK with me. Usually only people who are active in magazines and websites are informed. You have to have good and reliable contacts.

Most of Time, VIP bizjets lands during thé week. And sometimes to go maintenance and overhaul. Facilities and workshops are closed during weekend

Ja und ist auch nicht wieder gekommen 😅 Ist dan Von Zürich aus zurück geflogen. Man muss dazu aber sagen die Böhen zu dem Zeitpunkt waren relativ stark aber die andern habens ja gut geschaft. Der Easyjet hatte pech, hat ein bisschen zu viel Schubgegeben und ist dan am Groundefekt gescheitert. Landen hätte er noch können aber er hat den vorgeschriebenen Aufsetzbereich überflogen und musste eine Runde drehen.

Gibt auf? Ist das nen Wettbewerb?😅

@@cmon89Jarhead89cmon Nein, aber Pegasus ist wohl offenbar bekannt dafür bei schlechtem Wetter relativ schnell in ein Holding zu gehen oder zu diverten, während die meisten anderen relativ problemlos landen.

Hello , Yeah what a story for the launching of the 320😢….but It was not exactly here in Basel-Mulhouse , but in Habsheim airfield , a small terrain a few kms in the North of here …

It was supposed to replace a Boeing 767 (VP-BKS) but I believe the airline no longer exists. All of Kalair's aircraft are grounded. The Boeing 767 was already sold when the Boeing 787 was taken over. The Boeing 767 is currently being converted into a freighter in Mexico. Nobody wanted the Boeing 787, I think because it is not a very popular aircraft and as a VIP version it cannot simply be converted into a passenger aircraft. The Boeing 767 is over 30 years old but the Boeing 767 is in great demand as a freighter because there is currently no modern alternative on the market for cargo aircraft of this size.

Nous n'avons que des Boeing 777 avec Qatar Cargo plusieurs fois par semaine. Tous les autres 777 et 747 ne sont pas des vols réguliers, nous ne savons pas à l'avance quand ils arriveront. (Traducteur Google)

Die 747 im Video sind eigentlich jedes Jahr da, da die bei uns Gewartet werden, Qatar und Bahrain sieht man mehrmals im Jahr die haben ja mehrere Jumbos.

In basel sind jedes Jahr einige 747 unterwegs aber immer die gleichen. Qatar, Saudi, Bahrain, Kingdom und manchmal Dubai Air Wings.

Bin ich ganz bei dir 🤣 Ziel war ja der Sturm und nicht ein spezielles Flugzeug. So richtig Sturm kam aber nur 30 minuten und das einzige interessante Flugzeug habe ich verpasst als ich ganz kurz weg gefahren bin (Eine brandneue G650ER für Saudi Arabian Government) die habe ich um wenige sekunden verpasst. nach dem sie auf der 25 gestartet ist und nach einem längeren Testflug wieder zurück gekommen ist. Verpasst habe ich auch eine full power take off von einem Easyjet A320-214, zwar auch kein interessantes Flugzeug aber es währe das erste mal gewesen wo ich einen A320 bei einem Full power take off anständig hätte filmen können.

Ich hoffe deine Weihnachten waren gut, trotz dem kaputen Fernseher 🤣 Ich habe kein fernseher so kann auch nichts kaputt gehen 🤣🤣🤣🤣

We often experience that Pegasus cannot land in Basel in bad weather. Pegasus is known here for being in holding mode for an extremely long time in thunderstorms or strong winds (or going into holding mode after a go around) before attempting to land or immediately diverting to another airport, while other airlines and even small aircraft land without problems. It was surprising that Pegasus landed on the first attempt that day in the highest wind speeds of the day. When I saw the storm front coming and saw that Pegasus was approaching, it was actually clear to me that Pegasus would abort the approach and maybe even fly to Zurich or Stuttgart, but it just landed. 🤣

@ Interesting to hear, I know that Turkish airlines Pilots are more like “ Ah let’s just take down the plan doesn’t matter how it ends” like they often slam down the airplane and use little to almost non flair when they land, but in the other hand Pegasus often makes good and smooth landings even in windy conditions here in Stockholm Sweden so it wasn’t surprising for me when I saw that professional Pegasus landing in this video! 😆

@@lattecafe921 Yes, Turkish Airlines, AJet and Sunexpress often land a little rougher here too. But that's not because of the pilots, but because of the aircraft. The harder landings are usually Boeing 737 NGs. Boeing 737s have a strong ground effect because they are very low above the ground, so it's an advantage to land a little harder. In addition, they don't land with full flaps and often already have the fuel for the return flight on board. The strong ground effect is also the reason why Boeing 737-300 to -900ER can use thrust reversal before touchdown (below 10 ft) to break the ground effect and prevent a long float. There are several videos where you can see this clearly, but it is normally forbidden to activate thrust reversal before touchdown. But you can clearly see which airlines often have to deal with storms and which don't. KLM, Ryanair and British Airways often land without problems even in strong storms, while other airlines tend to hesitate and do go-arounds early on. For us, Pegasus is definitely one of those that goes into holding when the windsock moves at the airport. Pegasus has even refused to take off in storms, even when offered to take off against the wind on RWY25. RWY25 is only 1820 m long and that was obviously a reason not to take off there when the 15/33 exceeded the crosswind limits. It was exciting that on that day the A320nei from Pegasus did not want to take off on the short runway. All the others had no problems, including Wizz Air A321s and even a Boeing 737-800 to Antalya with CFM56-7B26, which takes much longer to take off than an A320neo. The best thing with Pegausus was a flight that went straight into holding when there were heavy thunderstorms all day and it flew back to Istanbul from holding in Basel. SunExpress was also in holding for almost 3 hours before landing in Zurich due to a lack of fuel. But the weather in Basel wasn't that bad, even the flight school was still flying. Fun fact, when SunExpress finally flew to Zurich the weather was at its worst. 😅 But there is also a positive side to it! It is better not to take a risk.

Ist gestern gestern zurück geflogen. War ja auch zu erwarten allerdings wurde ich nicht informiert.

Ich hatte die Tiere zusammen mit Skalaren und Diskus und das ging super, mann muss sich um die Skalare keine Sorgen machen viel eher muss man schauen das die skalare den Messeraalen nicht das Futter weg fressen bevor es am Grund ist.

Spontaner Testflug heute 16:45 (Wusste nichts davon bis jetzt) Erwarte also den Rückflug in den nächsten Tagen.

I also missed this Super Puma several times at the same place but today it worked 🙂

@laurentsworldofaviation747 every afternoon i go to hospital to collect mail and parcels. Entrance is close to helipad building. But by 2 times, in à hurry i can do vidéo of landing and takeoff but à bit too far😤
