Shell Landing in Vernon Florida is a gorgeous place to launch your boat. Right on Holmes Creek and approximately 5 miles to reach the springs, it's not a bad spot to start your adventure either ..just be prepared for the mighty Choctawhatchee River that can have strong currents. This trip I would recommend doing a one way trip, downstream, otherwise youll be exhausted and even worse, hard press...
