“I’m in isolation and I love isolation. So, I’m not able to make films, but I’m able to paint and work on sculpture and work on my UA-cam channel. And it’s pretty great. I really kind of like isolation. [If I was not in isolation] I'd be probably... I don't know for sure but I'd be probably making a film or, you know, a continuing story.” David Lynch during a recent video interview with PCS Lit...

Willem Dafoe Discussing David Lynch Wild At Heart Character Bobby Peru
Переглядів 122 тис.4 роки тому
“David Lynch gave me such a good set up and really didn't give me any choices like in terms of costume : he basically brought this thing out on a hanger and said 'Willem, this is your costume !' and I was good with that. [...] And then he said 'We gotta send you to the dentist' [...] It wasn't studied, it was kind of intuitive, but I think Bobby Peru is one of my most complete character session...

OH. MY. GOD. Did you make this? And is this all 2D!???
Dafoe is such an underrated actor! So great. Wonder why he hasn't been working with David Lynch afterwards...
thanks so much for this
Glad you enjoyed it !
Who made this?
Check the description
DeFoe is so good at explaining things. He isnt pretentious or arrogant, he is concise and honest; and he is such an obvious professional about his work. Sounds like a great guy to work with, he doesnt interfere with the vision of the director, hes there to bring the directors vision to life, in his own special way.
0:07 Doc Lynch. I love it.
😘
Dafoe seemed like he was having fun during the Bobby Peru scenes.
He sure did and often mentioned that in many interviews !
F the rewards, their meaning comes and goes. The memory of the experiences is what matters and learning to live in the moment is equally as important.
the dentures actually make him look like a different person it's crazy
Can someone explain or give me context on what david lynch is talking about from 0:20 to 0:35? Thank you
He's talking about Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, the foundator of the Transcendental Meditation.
@@Lynchland thanks, but he mentioned a second person. Im still totally confused
That's just another TM guy@@edwood_9682
Bobby Peru is a masterpiece and after Frank Booth, clearly Lynch’s most dangerous villain.
I sincerely want to talk to you ….this isn’t going to happen in my bubble ,can’t tell you why or who this it’s like this , so to really write to you would be a dream coming out….love you ,Sylvia
Many thanks & happy birthday. From one workshop to another. 😊
Willem Dafoe is a national treasure
Bobby Peru was so disgusting and sleazy that even Frank Booth declined to hang out with him and drink Pabst Blue Ribbon.
Happy Birthday David!
There he is! All the best from the Nevada desert david!!!
I'm still trying to find Big Tuna Texas.
I was worried about David, so thank you from the bottom of my heart for this video! It's so great to see him smiling and talking about good things! Love & peace to everyone!
Glad you enjoyed it, have a great day ! 👋
Think of work as 'working through emotions.' He is like all of us and wants to share some peace & and support for all. 😊
If one is to study Lynch one must see thru his eyes. he is half swede fin known as root speakers a almost dead language. They are good at math like Linus Tovards and lot of mystic like Ior Bock. Ior studied in India was stabbed and paralyzed and then 10 years later stabbed and killed. Its like people looking at Dali and Picasso and not having a basic understanding of the Spanish civil war. You might not like either man but you can understand the forces that shaped there footprint.
David ever think of Filming up in the keewnaw Dollar Bay, calumet , copper harbor . I am a no budget filmmaker who made his first feature at 20 in 1984 shot on super 8 and recently rereleased. Swede Finn roots from the Up. Also won the amazon screenwriting contest for the The Nevsky prospect. The other winner his mom Finn roots from dollar bay Laplander. I will pay for access and a cup of coffee for a 1 hour. I was also a agent trainee at Triad and my former trainees who run the business won't even return my phone call. Have been to over 120 countries including Antartica I know its a longhsot to meet you but I will try. appreciate your work. One question I would ask you is what is your opinion of Ior Bock

Peace, David. So good to see you again and happy belated birthday!
Happy Belated, David! Much Love!
Very good to see you, David! Love & peace to you and everyone! ⭐
He is looking good!
@Miles Doyle Ezekiel 23 :19 . 19Yet she became more and more promiscuous as she recalled the days of her youth, when she was a prostitute in Egypt. 20There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses.

I feel like he's suddenly going to 'slip' into Bobby Peru.
I had never considered the idea but seeing this I am convinced an animated version of Twin Peaks, in the right hands, would be amazing.
Starts at 22:22
WD is an artist. My favorite actor.
Best scene is when he gets his head blown up.
One of the Greatest ever
such an interesting explanation.
God, i love Willem Dafoe. And i still remember how much the Bobby Peru character freaked us all out when my friends and i watched wild at heart for the first time.
Literally me
My, I am in utter awe.
*Aeon Lynch*
One of the most reprehensible characters in the movies .Dafoe brilliant at being evil and good, as when he played sgt Elias in platoon .
Ironical ending: “there’s no end to it”
For an actor who has played some of the scariest, most disturbing characters in cinema, Willem Dafoe always comes across in interviews as a really affable and down to earth guy. The mark of a great actor is his ability to transform. Robert De Niro is good but only plays variations on himself and way less affable in person. Did not believe him as 'The Irishman' because he's an Italian American and has limited range. Someone like Dafoe could have played the Irishman and we'd have believed it.
Yo are you serious with the Deniro comment? I’m with ya on The Irishman thing & honestly as we are on the subject of The Irishman. One of the worst films I have ever seen that was raved about so much.I absolutely hated it. Huge Scorsese fan too & film buff in general my entire life. Anywho Deniro is one the greatest actors to ever do it. Who else could have played Max Cady from Cape Fear? Michael from Deer Hunter? Sam from Ronin? Louis Gara from Jackie Brown? Mudderfooking Travis Bickle from Taxi Driver? James Conway in Goodfellas? LaMotta in Raging Bull? Cmon get out of here writing that rubbish. Imo Dafoe is one of the greatest actors to ever live & so is Deniro. Both aren’t similar & both can act. Just 2 different styles when it comes to selections of the characters they choose to play.
Beautiful, thank you!
My pleasure @DethronerX !
Isn't there the possibility that subtitles will be loaded in the following days? In any event if anyone was ever interested in the musical performance that goes from 8:13:50 to 8:38:45, please know that I am that "Mimmo" (Domenico) of which Roland speaks, therefore the interpreter/performer of that performance. This version that went live at the same time also on my channel (even if with two hours in advance) it lasted 10-11 minutes less in front of the full/uncut version. Because for this international live I had to cut it for time limits of the conference. I could not exceed 20 minutes as you know, it lasts 23 and a half minutes and it was accepted but we are at the very limit. Besides this cut version I also uploaded the complete and uncut note for those who really want to see its originality (even in the presentation I say one more personal thing). Here is the uncut version: ua-cam.com/video/N--pzq9EOGM/v-deo.html. Anyway I follow a chronological order in the sense parts-tracks in background. To some pieces I also added identifying titles thinking about the scenes in which they are contained. I also included The Voice of Love and above all at the end because I like to think that the true ending of Twin Peaks could be that of Fire Walk with Me (waiting to understand something more about this Unrecorded Night / Wisteria). In any event all this track are in the various 4-5 playlists dedicated by me to Twin Peaks. In particular the tracks Accident/Farewell Theme, The Fireman, Windsept, The Chair, Heartbreakiing (full) Dark Space Low and Between Windswept and Main Theme are in THE RETURN playlist: ua-cam.com/video/-L9n4dWMx58/v-deo.html.
