FYI anyone looking at this in late 2024, it looks like KTJO is out of business or decided to shut down sales indefinitely. The website is still up but the color selection and add-to-cart buttons are hidden. I managed to add a V2 handle to my cart by clicking around randomly and placed the order. I was charged but it never shipped and nobody responded to my emails. Fortunately my credit card company is good about reversing charges.

Same. I have a 21 SR5 and this does not work. My fav part - to roll down windows he says “unlock, lock, lock” while pressing : unlock, lock, unlock.

Using a small Phillips head screw as a second bolt, is bullshit. This is not secure and is a design fault. Nobody should purchase or install this product.

I have the Gen 1 grab handle. I removed it to install some lighting and now I can't get it back on. The metal U clip is impossible and deformed now. After two hours I gave up. Is it possible to use a Riv nut and make it work? That Uclip is done after taking it off once.

I have 2017 Tacoma with a 6 inch lift and the KTJO grab handle is a must for me. I ordered it right away . The company was great at fast shipping the product to me. Removing the OEM A pillar and installing the new KTJO pillar and handle was a breeze. I had a slight alignment issue for the bottom bolt, As for the the top bolt it just won't screw in, even with hole lined up so I decided to use the OEM bolt instead. The handle feels solid and strong .I'm satisfied . At first, I had doubts because of the size of the jack nut screw used on the bottom bolt. After the installation was complete and cleaning up I notice a very tiny washer still in the ziplock bag. I've no idea where it goes ?

Not gonna lie the bottom screw was a PITA for me. Took me longer trying to get that screw in then the actual install 😡 But once you get that screw in the rest is cake. Looks very nice and sturdy. Finally don’t have to grab my steering wheel to get inside anymore 😂

Just curious why a small guage Philipps screw is used on the lower portion? That would be a major issue if it stripped out while tightening! I think it would be much stronger if you were to use 2 good strong 10mm bolts on both top and bottom. When I had a 2014 Tundra and I put in a OE drivers side grab handle and they used what you had from your previous V1 mount.

This doesn’t work on my 21 Tacoma.

PRO TIP: For those of you having issues threading in the top bolt, it's a minor alignment issue. On my 2019, the original bolt hole was angled too far upwards. To fix this, you can thread in one of the bolts, and then just apply gentle downward pressure to get the hold to angle slightly downwards to match the new handle. It's just thin sheet metal so it's somewhat pliable.

Although this is not a step by step DIY video and noted in Chinese, it indeed provides a guideline what needs to happen. Helpful if you are adventurous and plan to mess with your 4th Highlander.

What’s the difference between the v1 vs v2, I own the v1 curious if it’s worth the upgrade?

is there a difference in quality from the V1? Also, is the main difference the application of the rivet/screw/bolt? I want this but dont know if i need to spend the extra bucks for V1!

Got it in the mail within a week and with a military/first responder discount too. Took about 45 minutes only because the direct sunlight was glaring in my eyes when installing the lower Phillips head screw. Be sure the A-pillar tabs are fully seated into place by the dashboard, took me a couple tries to realize how it was supposed to look when correctly installed. Recommend using the thinnest drive socket, extension, and screw driver you have to allow some flexibility when installing the bolt and screw.

I dont know why there's so many bad reviews about this company & product. I ordered the v2 grab handle and I received it in 4 days. This grab handle was so easy to install. it looks oem and very strong and as for blocking your vision that's a bunch of bullshit it doesn't block my vision at all. I absolutely love this grab handle and looks great. Thanks for a Awesome product KTJO 4×4
