Had my surgery on October 16 drains taken out yesterday 😊
I don’t care if I end up w a nipple on my chin. I just want these things gone 😂😂😂😂
I keep seeing things about constipation following general anaesthetic.... is this to be expected?
Yes absolutely. I will be proactive starting day one. Even if you just begin with prunes, high fiber foods, and then move to laxative teas and stool softener, etc.
Hi Kelly! I have a question about Jackson Pratt drainage tube used post facelift. Once the drains are removed is it normal for there to be a "tunnel" like ridge under the skin?! How long does it take for this to resolve? Thank you
Hi! Yes that can happen sometimes. It usually resolves in a few days at most. Some surgeons have you massage it gently but I would ask before massaging. 👍🏼
After the operation , how long should we rest without going to work
That depends on what you do for work and what surgery you are having!😊
@@kellygreytokrn how long did you rest without going out of the house??
I have watched this helpful video many times for my breast reduction a week ago! I wondered if you can provide 2-3 post surgery bra brands that aren't too thin and have cotton fabric. My research is coming up short. I am still quite swollen on the sides. Most likely went from a 38G/H to 36D when everything settles down. Welcome bra advice (nothing too compressing or lacking any support.
I had 7lbs taken off. No drains. And the sewing on one breast is different than the other. My left is neat and tidy and doesn't hurt. My right looks like a trussed up pork roast. I wasn't really told anything when I left other than no showers for a week. It was another yt channel that told me to use a healing ointment. I'm using Cerave.
I just started watching your videos but I see that many of them don't have the apparatuses that you are explaining like what the first one was the wedge pillows, the shoelaces to hold the drip containers, etc. I've had to watch many videos to finally understand what you are saying.
I worked out more before my surgery. I optimized my fitness with cardio and weights. The surgery went well, and im healing very well. I also upped my protein before and after surgery to promote wound healing.
Perfect! I hope you love your result. Thank you for sharing, I hope others read this and do the same. It makes a big difference.💪🏼
Is it true that the bigger your breasts are the more expensive it is and the slower it takes for you to recover? I am a 32 FF, am thinking of a breast reduction but an petrified.
Great question, This is absolutely not true. Now, it may take a little longer to heal if your surgery is more extensive, but this is not necessarily related to the size of your breasts before surgery. 😊. I would consult with a few surgeons. Collecting some information will be helpful and lessen than your fears.
Hi Kelly! Nice video. I am getting nervous about my facelift that is scheduled for September. In your experience would you say that most of your patients had a smooth recovery? or was it more difficult than they expected? Did they experience a lot of pain? thanks
Mostly smooth recoveries. The emotions are often the most difficult part. Check out my free facelift Masterclass at the link in my bio. 😊
I just had mine yesterday and when I got home, there is alot of blood in the right side dressing. Call on call doctor said it is normal as long as no swelling or pain 😢
Good job on calling the doctor. Take photos! That way you can always send them to your surgeon or their team. Sometimes it's hard to explain what "a lot" of blood is. This way they can ease your mind.❤️
how is it now
I had my breast reduction 3 days ago.. still struggling..how do i was.my hair
Are you okay? I hope that you are in no pain.
Another nurse tip/ice on the back of the beck can ease nausea
This was so helpful! Thank you! 😊
A person with sleep apnea can get a facelift and what kind of anestesia is the best
What are your fees?
Hi - please email me at kelly@kellygreytok.com and we can discuss details. 😊
Don't most surgeons give intra-operative steroids to help prevent nausea, too?
I would not say most surgeons do this.
Do you prefer a wedge pillow vs a husband pillow that has arms?
Yes but both can work 😊
What specific services do you offer as a recovery nurse? How many days do you attend to your patients who have had general anesthesia? And finally, do you find that patients who have general anesthesia have a more difficult recovery ?
Thank you🙏
You’re welcome 😊
So helpful! I am 8 days postoperative. I have intense hyper sensitivity. Pins and needles all over. Any advice?
This is usually nerves waking back up... it won't last I promise! And a call to your surgeons staff so they can calm your fears would be totally appropriate 👍🏼
Here in 2024 - thanks for this, very helpful info!
I'm so happy you found it helpful!
Thanks! June 28th! Needed this info! 🥰
You’re welcome 😊
Mine is tomorrow. Upper bleph too. I’m nervous!
Wushing you both a great experience with your procedures
@@Maria-gt5yi hi Maria, how are you doing after your procedure?ni think you are on day 6?
@@Maria-gt5yi Hi Maria! How did your surgery go? I'm scheduled for facelift in September and I'm having second thoughts. I'm getting scared. How rough was recovery?
Can someone with a pacemaker have breast symmetry surgery
Yes, you will require cardiac clearance of course, but I would have some consultations to make a plan with your surgeon.
l have most of my life suffered from the pain of bra straps due to trying to fit one breast that is bigger then the other. Not to mention the marks under my bra that also cause pain. l am now in my late 60's and would benefit so much from breast reduction, but think that l am to old. What can you tell me about age!
I have recovered dozens of women in their 60s who are having breast reductions, tummy, tucks, facelifts ...all of it. They only regret is that they waited so long. I actually find my patients in this age. Group do the best because they are more compliant and have more discomfort tolerance. ❤️
I had breast reduction surgery. It was a nightmare. After my breast being extremely infected and full of pus. After that explanation I was left with a dog ear. It is the size of a golf ball. Will a doctor repair this with twightlight procedure? How do I find a doctor that will do this? I don’t want to go back to my original surgeon.
I am so sorry to hear this. Yes sometimes they will do this under twighlight. Begin with a few consults.
Thanks for the wonderful tips. May i ask, could i cook or self shower after the 3rd day? Im staying alone .. and this bothers me after the surgery thou..
You're welcome. I would try to meal prep as much as possible but yes... absolutely. I would make sure someone is with you for the first shower. You don't want to get dizzy and be alone.
@@kellygreytokrn Thank you 💕
Why no ice for face if you’d had fat transfer?
You can usually ice for a small amount of time. Usually 24 or 48 hours. Then it's imperative the fat gets adequate blood supply to live. Your surgeon will have a very specific timeframe that they want you to stop icing. Great question.
Feeling nauseous after surgery for 6 days straight is miserable 😅
Oh my gosh, that is miserable! Has it resolved?
Hi I have done nose surgery 4 days ago and I had very bad nausea and vomiting for 24 hours is it normal or not ?I am worried about my breathing because I felt lots of pressure in my nose during that?
Can I go to an event 14 days after surgery?
I think that depends on how you are feeling and what you will be doing at the event. You will probably not be cleared to exercise yet so it shouldn't be something very active.😊
@@kellygreytokrn it won’t be active! It’ll be a concert with seating!
I had Mine done on Wednesday 3 April 2024
Hey I had my op April 6th. How you doing? I'm healing but tcut on one boob very slowly. Are you massaging?
Hope you are okay now, how long did you take to recover and was it painful?
@@arymhansie I did mine on the 3April and I returned to work on the 4 june,it but am still in still recovering.am not having Issues just a little pain in one or both sometimes but not for long.and I haven’t directly interfered with the Nipples when bathing or massaging them.they are so great I appreciate them so much .I named them my girls, the pains caused by my long heavy breast is no more an Issue.it a miracle and I have high self esteem and confidence in myself.I took my first bath on the seventh of may.
Six months to recovery, but the pain was not extremely bad cause I followed the instructions given by about resting,I sleep a lot and I was used to sleeping on my back ,it was uncomfortable sometimes but I used pillows toget comfort 😊 I’ll remember you in my prayers. ❤️

I couldn’t tolerate water, so my RN sister recommended ice chips. Boy, did that help keep me hydrated.
Oh I'm happy she suggested it. I hope you love your result ... thank you for sharing
Thanks for the information. I have to agree with the earlier comment regarding eating. It’s very difficult to chew so be sure to have protein shakes on hand.
Absolutely! I consider them "facelift friendly" 😊
I’m 67 and just had a breast reduction done 6 days ago. Healing well and my first post-op appointment is tomorrow. I wish I had done this sooner but better late than never. My back hasn’t hurt at all this past week and my balance is back to normal. No longer top heavy and loving it. Oh and no more sweaty girls! That’s a major improvement!
I love your comment and am thrilled for you. Thank you for sharing... I hope you continue to feel good and heal quickly.
I just had my surgery this past Monday..But I am noticing swelling and the drain is slowing down .Is all that good
Swelling is normal, and the drain fluid will get less and less each day. But if you have any worries, don't hesitate to reach out to your surgeon.👍🏼
So I have an adjustable bed would you still recommend a wedge pillow ? Also the bras they had me buy are sport’s bras. I feel they have light support and no compression. Should I worry about that? I have mine in one week.
Great questions. You do not need a wedge pillow although I do find that the wedge pillow is better for keeping you upright. Sometimes with the bed you have a tendency to slip down so make sure your feet are elevated or put a pillow under your knees. Some surgeons don't want compression on your breasts after surgery. I would ask. Great questions! I hope you have a great recovery😊
I recently had a procedure under Propofol. I was instructed to take omeprazole the night before and morning of the procedure to prevent nausea. First time I'd ever heard that!
I did once have a patient who was instructed the same. I hope it worked for you.😊
I have my surgery March 14. Insurance is paying for it however it took two years to qualify. The information was very helpful. Ty❤
I'm sorry it took so long but I'm so happy you qualified!
Is safe general anesthesia with wisdom tooth removal?
Does insurance typically cover home recovery nurses?
Not for cosmetic surgery recovery unfortunately.
Hey friend! Do you shower with the steri-strips intact?
Yes! Of course, I always recommend following your surgeons orders but you can get Steri-Strips wet.
Thank you. I can't wait to have my surgery.
You're welcome and I'm so happy to hear you had it covered by insurance.
Mines will be covered by insurance. I know 5 others who was paid by insurance.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and wisdom.watching theses kind of videos, makes me more confident and at ease for taking step forward for getting plastic surgery.❤
You're welcome and I'm so happy to hear this. Thank you for your comment and for following along.
Hi there.love your posts .I have an important question to ask you please.I am thing and planing to get a face and a lip lift.will I be Abe to brush my teeth and floss, specifically the front teeth.I am worried that I may not be able and I do not want to get gum dease.I have not found any single video about this matter.please help.
Great question. Yes, you can brush. I recommend a child's toothbrush just in case. Flossing can be a little difficult in the back teeth at first but you will get there. You may want to follow me on Instagram as I post more often there.😊
@@kellygreytokrn ok.sure thank you
I had a breast reduction 2 weeks ago and as of yesterday I notice my left breast is more soft and the right is pretty hard, also the dr did a minor liposuction around the armpit area where that little fat is , but my arms are still so sore and stiff and in pain and also feel a little lump and bump in that area, I heard it’s normal after a liposuction,I want to know when will the pain go away around my arms and how can I get rid of the lumpyness ?
Thank you for your question. I hope you have checked in with your surgeon about this. Do not massage unless cleared to do so by your surgeon. This can definitely resolve but you want to check in with them as they know what kind of procedure was done.
Thanks for the video. On Jan. 12, 2024 I had endoscopic brow lift, lower bhelp. Fat transfer and octoplasty.
You're welcome. I hope you found it helpful. And I hope you are doing well and love your result.
75 percent of vid is icepacks. Lol. Wedge pillows are great for sure. Eating is really hard, so protein shakes help, but good luck finding low salt/sodium.
