Seriously, every Marisa I've fought since the new patch has been like this. Do they think she's infallible now? She's not. I wish she was. I imagine the day the entire Fighting game community wails for Marisa to be 'nerfed' because she's the best character in the game hands down. Then the Devs look upon the masses and say "No. Let it ride."

Usually off the QCF HP there are enough frames to come out of heel kick to be plus. I forget the exact amount. Though It looks like my Standing LP whiffed so I must have messed up the timing.

I also have grievances with SF 6 and if you watch enough of my videos you'll know most if not all of them. But I still have a lot of fun playing it. So I am sorry to hear you you're not currently and can only hope maybe my enjoyment of it will rekindle others enjoyment of it as well.

7:38. If I remember correctly, cruel fate is -3 there. You can't do crouch LP(4). There is one combo you can do that is simple. There is one move you need to change in the combo you are already doing. When you get a punish counter with standing HK, you do sinister slide, heel strike and sometimes venemous fang... Try cruel fate instead. You're close to diamond.
Thank as always for the advice. XD And yes I've been seeing the legend and master A.K.I.s going into cruel fate after punish counter. I'm trying to build the muscle memory because whenever I see the punish counter currently I'm defaulting to Torpedo.
@@tsukinodeoblivion6485 What really works is to play with only that in mind. That's how I learned the big combo into level 3 in the corner. I learned it in training mode and went straight to rank or casual to just do that.
19:22 go for this one a lot to beat fireballs. 19:44 don't just send it like this, though. Do 2PP when you think they might throw a fireball, then P *only* when they actually start to throw one.
2:41 drive reversal this, you dont have to take it. Also, stay crouched vs Akuma, more so if they spam st HK. Nice comeback before that btw

You were already playing slow vs the Ed. That actually helps whenever you try to take mental notes of their playstyle. The Ed for example, always grabbed after hitting the target combo, blocked every drive rush attempt and DI when you were kinda close.

You blocked a DI and not a drive reversal. That’s why you didn’t get pushed back. It’s -6 on block by the way.

All you had to do was wait for Cammy to DI and crush her. You tried to play her game instead of just punishing her for playing that way.
This, plat is full of these individuals. The cammy was mashing DI anytime you confirmed. These are the types of pattern you must do your best to recognize in the first set
Cammy target combo isn’t safe. It is why she is canceling into DI after it.
People jab out of your jump ins because walking forward takes frames and you delay buttons on landing when you don’t grab.

8:50 yeah annoyingly enough air-invincible moves are only invulnerable to air STRIKES (both sim's and akuma's air FB are coded as special strikes), so air grabs that grab grounded targets like Kim's or cammy's just bypass them
ngl it feels more like the frames played more into Kimberlys favor there since the active frames of the A K I anti air didnt even start. Looked more like it was still in the start up frames hence why it grabbed before the active frames even started. Cant say though since i dont play A K I. I only play ED and the DP from ED just works fine 100% of the time. Btw what i also wanted to say is i feel like the easiest way for you to level up to diamond is learning actual higher damage punish combos. Since as example in the kimberly match in the very first match you punished her missed DP with LPLP into a DP. Learn like one combo with higher payout that gives you more reward and you good on that part. Also wanted to ask if you have a genuine gameplan in a match all the time or if you are "ballin" it accounting to what your opponent is doing.
@@petrawulf9 that's the thing, tsukinode got grabbed during the startup frames of H lash, and that move is air-invulnerable until active, except ground-targeting aerial grabs like kim's just bypass that

Dunno if you're looking for advice but. Your anti-airs are super on point but I recommend you actually jump less yourself so you can focus on your button usage in neutral more, and make more use of buttons like f hk, 5 mk, and confirming the hp target combo for cammy specifically 6:47 throw your fireball and just wait, you can cancel to ex slide on reaction if she uses level 3. you can totally flip the direction of the set with that knowledge check

yeah, I saw your comment at the same time I've been going over to Stand Mp instead of stand MK off the DR overhead. The high level A.K.I.'s also do it that way so I've been practicing. It's easier and more consistent and gives the same advantages. XD

Thank you. 😁 Yeah I tend to not use standing HK as much because some characters jump ins just beat it, Ryu, Luke, Cammy, to name a few. I do try to use Crouching HK because it low profiles but it suffers the same issue as QCF HP in that at certain angles or against certain moves it goes under it. I tend to stick with QCF HP simply because if I react early enough it poisons and sets me up for pressure and damage if I hit, while the other two for the most part only set me back to neutral unless it's a counter hit. The next couple vids have some examples of what I'm talking about. I may have just been late in reacting though so I'll keep this in mind.
plat is rouuugh, im a plat 5 terry and to be completely honest the only thing i've really used to help from plat 1-5 is utilising drive rush combos more and practicing the most effective uses of my drive gauge as well as learning to anti air like its as natural as breathing. weirdly when i place against diamonds i have a much easier time than i do against plat 3s, 4s and 5s, it feels like getting out of that last stretch of plat is more of a fundamentals and having a good day kinda deal lmao. edit: also another thing that helped a lot which might be of use to you, go over to replays and have a look at some top aki players, i aim to look at how some of the better players deal with some of my struggle matchups and take one little thing at a time to practice and take into online games and it has started working wonders for me, might be a nice way to pick up some new things to put in your gameplan! :D
I've been watching Broski mostly but also just about every High level A.K.I. I can find. It's a lot of recognize this situation immediately and do this combo. lol I also need to work on my Burn out pressure.

You didn’t have your level 3 at the end of that stun combo.
8:40 you pressed down too early relative to MK which broke your DR which is why that didn't combo, also 2MK is +1 on block, +5 with DR, and 5HK is 9f, 4 framers will always trade if they block the first (unless they press it late) which is actually good for you cause you can actually get a combo with 5MP on reaction when that happens in most cases, I recommend you setup a drill to practice that since it happens to you a lot 16:57 you just hit the juggle limit, you should have done DI (blocked) > 5HK xx H bubble > DR 5HK xx DRC 5HK (then cancel into H stabby hands but the second DR 5HK was gonna kill regardless)
Honestly just drive reversal after you get knockedown instead of lvl1. Is safer and reliable compared to a buffer that is not coming out when you input it

A.K.I. is +2 on block with the overhead and if they get hit it leads into another good damaging combo. I'm continuing to try it to get the pressure right and condition myself for the follow ups.
It's not necessary but it doesn't hurt to have a high low mix up if I can execute it right.

I wouldn't call that "conservative" that honda had 0 patience in neutral besides waiting for charge Also yeah, ALL lvl 1s are vulnerable to projectiles (tho some can be used to counter them if done soon enough, and marisa's armors through)
