Link is expanding towards Bellevue, Lynnwood, and Federal Way. And then towards Tacoma Dome, Everett, and South Kirkland/Issaquah. "Series 2" LRV are rolling into service with at least 80 in revenue service. And has been operating in 3 or 4-car consist. I really love the traction motors of the Series 2 cars and Seattle has a subway/metro vibe unlike other cities operating Light Rail!

I was there.. lead labor, 23years old then. 98 buildings demoed counting the stack.. all leveled too grade. Very eerie place, looked like everyone just left and never came back.. Rhine Demolition did the work, awesome experience and equipment was used, glad I was a part of it.. RIP

Yes right before the bridge there was a siding they reversed the engine on.
@@benagain30 Cool to learn that. I've seen old pictures of Salmonberry from back in the SP steam days and I always wondered if the siding was still intact.
What were they protesting specifically?
If I remember correctly they were protesting gentrification of the area

Worked there 12 years.Two years on strike Charles Herwitz majority owner out to bust the Steelworkers Union.We took him to the end.Ended up closing the place down.Great place to work.Miss the old guys.
