Young Country Girl sings 'Amazing Grace' with her Dad's garage band
The greatest thing about Mary Decker was not her athletic ability, but the normal lovable personality that anybody who ever met her could attest to.
Decker was incredible she just dominated entire races, she led from the front and always had the kick at the end.
Wow what an ability to open the stride and wind it out 😮
She was awesome.
EXCELENTE ES LA PALABRA CORRECTA
Ecxelente video fuerte cierre de Mary Decker
Mary The Legend ✌✌👏👏
Mary's form is literally perfect.
How bias was those U.S commontators.
What a great athlete Mary Decker was,she was a phenom.
The American commentary was absolutely awful
Just saw this fantastic race for the first time. WOW! Has to be one of the greatest!
Mary Decker! America’s greatest of all time

An amazing race, I loved watching Mary 💪❤️
when the russian gal took the lead she was really struggling within her form while Decker was still very smooth and efficient with her form and that is why she could run her down.
I seen this show when I was aboard the USS Ranger.
Where was Zola Bud ?
She is absolutely amazing. Love her very much.
Doping.🤬🤬😭😭👿👿
I remember that.
WAIT!? “14 YEARS” ago..and ZERO ‘Likes’…? MUST be an error or an interpretation on my part…
Spare me. She was a doper.
That was some kick at the end. Even the announcers didnt believe Mary could do it.
wow magnificent running
My husband was stationed on the USS RANGER, and introduced Bob Hope at this show!
What a brave runner Decker was.
Still amazed at the time zola budd was accused of apparently tripping her up even though she was approximately a yard in front off her I mean is that even possible🤔🤔!! Lol😊👍!!
The Soviet girl kicked too soon. Played right into Decker's hands.
This is quintessential Mary Decker. She ran like this when she was 14, competing against college-age women like Francie Larrieu. She would take the lead and let the others draft on her shoulder, but always maintaining the lead. Then as the race heated up towards the end, she would run just fast enough to stay ahead with a good finishing kick. That strategy served her very well over the years.
Always loved watching her run. Always admired her.
the first four was fast
Mary is racing against men?
IT HAPPEN 2 THE BESTS OF US YOU CANT PUT A PRICE ON GREATEST)
I wish there was a taping of the time Decker (she was 14) threw a baton at a Soviet runner who cut in front of her in a relay. That was way back in the day and I don't know if it was even televised.
Yes. It was televised! I saw it. Early 1973. Probably on CBS.
Soviet runner hit the deck followed Mary Decker's GREATEST moment, completing the World double

❤❤😂
I watched Mary Decker during her illustrious career competing on the track. It was like Mary Decker was gliding on air, and the better the competition, Decker soared to a different level of tenacity.
"the best in the world".
Those commentators didn’t have much faith in her. Out of all those “women”, she was the only one with a wonderfully pure runner’s body.
Mary vs the commies🤣🤣 Unbelievable.
Mary Decker and Joannie Benoit were great inspirations to me in running and life, and they still are.
In person she was a self-centered ass
In the world of track and field, the T&F World Championships is the equivalent of the Olympics, just not as much hype or fanfare. So Mary Decker did achieve success at the pinnacle of her field. That is worth celebrating.
Russians~ steroids
