Who are we?
We are a couple who love to travel. Mike and I met during our first year in college while living in Ohio. Ten years later, we quit our jobs and decided to travel together full-time.
What do we do?
We travel full-time! Our first goal was to travel the United States in a camper. Our second life goal is to travel by sailboat. Our third life goal is to travel by airplane.
Why do we do what we do?
Freedom: We have total control over our time. We are free to travel where, when, and how we want. We also have the freedom to pick our work and vacation schedules. Experience: We get out of the routine life and enjoy different scenery. We meet different people, grow, experience, learn, and challenge ourselves in every way possible. Change in mindset: Fears seem to disappear. We have the mentality that we are only going to be in one place for a short time, so we take advantage of everything that place has to offer. We want to live a life that is much more meaningful to us.

Hi sir I visited your channel and i saw, that your content is so good. But i found some problem in your channel. YOUR viedo are not SEO optimized. So your videos are not getting more viewsand your channel is not growing. Can i help you grow your UA-cam channel?. Are you interested in discussing the growth of your UA-cam channel?
2 thumbs up on this video. I have to compliment you guys on the details and thoroughness of the repair. 👍🏼👍🏼 most people cut the floor out along the wall. Leaving the rotted wood to not only begin rotting the freshly installed lumber but also allowing the wall to continue sagging further and further. Nice job guys. Happy camping
The cops here will pull you over illegally with no probable cause and embark on totally illegal searches. The natives don’t want people to visit.
i taught i was ready to watch a vacation video..... what a wait of 1 minute. What did you show us , nothing!
Love your vids. Smiling start to finish. Thank you
Wow does nobody ever notice how the aluminum bottom wraps on top of the fiberglass wall allowing water to flow right into the wall to rot the bottom of all the studs ,,,,,shouldnt the fiberglass lay on top of the aluminum so if the trim seal fails water cascades over the aluminum to the ground instead of into the living area ,,,,,,,build to fail , its called consumerism,,,,,how much did it cost for that disposable camper ? Ill give it 5 years before its a total loss ......fibercrap campers ,
Amazing job
You guys will have great memories to look back on when you're in assisted living....lol.
You call it plywood many times...what you had IS NOT plywood...its OSB...HUGE difference
This was no help. Wish you would have shown is how you removed the subflooring. You went from showing the Rottenwood to all of a sudden it's gone. How did you remove it?
Very cool! How much does a day lesson like this cost?
Horrible video.. you didn't show any real work, tips or tricks.
Man I'm first time buyer and I'm goin thru this right now... is ur boss busy? I need some guidance myself. Ha
It would be a dream to live on that.
1:30 of intro? Noooo fucking way
Video was very informative and useful but intro was waaaaayyy too long.
How do you replace the carriage bolts. My entire frame rotted out?
National Geographic is right! Beautiful animals. Curious what route you took in there with that Volkswagen van? Perhaps from Potter Valley? I’m hesitant to go to Lake Pilsbury with my Nissan NV200 van, but it looks like you made it. Thanks for sharing!
Yep! From Potter Valley. It is a dirt road, a little rough, but no problem with the van. It was beautiful!
Never a truer comment about offshore sailing "sleep deprivation"
Could you have put insulation boards between the floor studs and to help insulate?
How did it hold up. I just bought the blazecut for my vanagon and it arrived today. I hate to have to drill into the engine compartment cover but will have to if this didn't hold up to time.
So far so good! We installed it the same way on both our vanagons. One is holding up perfect, the other is pulling the foam a little but we couldn't find as much wire on that one either. One recommendation I have is to lay it out a little longer out of the box so it's not so tightly wound up
great video. thanks for the tour!
Avoid this town like the plague
Nice video... what month was this?
Thanks! We went in March
How long would u say it took you from.start to finish
About 1 month while also working full time
Miss you guys!
We miss you guys! Come see us when you can!
Love it you two. Livin the best life
I have a 1985 Weekender like yours. Are all those miles on the original engine?
Yes sir, all original!
Currently renovating a 31 foot trailer from the 80's. I got the outside done and now ripping up the laminate only to find a whole layer of wood thrown on top of the subfloor. So natural decided to take it off and check. I have so much rot I need to fix. Great video now I know what I need to do!
Love my Weekender over the Full Kitchen. More room, bigger bed and we prefer to cook outside. Nice video, thank you.
Thanks
Y'all did really good on that
One thing you need to remember. You always fix the outside first. A tube of caulking would have saved that trailer a whole lot of trouble. You always fix the outside where the water gets in first before you fix everything inside.
We bought it like this and immediately put the whole trailer in a pole barn, so it didn't matter much to us which we fixed first.
Dude ur intro blows!!! Backspace that whole beginning like we don't need to see your bs shots. Just sayin
I have a 1991 Hightop Autosleeper all original. It's great to see the inside layout of others. Great video!
Hey man, I was having a shitty day and when you said "I may have gone a little overboard with the staples" I started dieing haha. I do the same damn thing everytime i use pneumatic tools, especially staples! Good job brotha!
Motion sickness can’t watch
How tall is Mike? Considering a Freedom 35 myself but not sure if it provides enough headroom.
He is 6'3
@@lifegoalsblog3876 Thanks so much for the reply. I'm 6'1" and was a little worried about the headroom which is 6'2" according to the specs. What I'm really fond of is the sail plan/rig which is supposed to be relatively easy for a single-handed sailor. What were your thoughts after sailing it?
question did you guys stand on the beams when you didn't have a subfloor?
Yep! Totally fine
The benefit of having 4 eyes....is having two of them outside watching when your are backing up.
Just my opinion move away would you put carpet back in it it’s a camper the next thing is why would you use OSB
I plan on doing mine next year and I’m gonna use two by sixes for the whole flooring we can’t mostly in the winter and I’m tired of this $70,000 camper just randomly falling apart it’s terrible
Great video and tons of footage, My Babe and I ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
My gosh we don't need a 90 second into video
A whole minute and fucking twenty five seconds of having your head up your ass. Why the fuck would anybody think that some random looking up replacing subflooring in an RV wants to watch a minute and a half of your dumbass intro.
Thanks for the vid!
You have good editing and production skills.. well done
Thank you!
When you watch movies at theaters was the screen vertical? Why would anyone took videos this way is ....
I'll be honest. The rediculusly long intro made me end the video before it started
This
Every stupid camper video ever
Yet you took more time to comment! lol!
Thats how bad it was @@markd1199
Too damn long
Ahh good times. Great to tag along on your adventure. You are also back and fun couple. All the best from New Zealand 😌
very nice.
