Another weekend at RA, this time with Chin. Still running the same set of RS4 This was the Saturday morning session, the weather is cool and the track is dry. And I used it to get my PB. The limit of this car is way beyond me.

First time on RA with this car, 2nd lap of the first section of the day. Had friends over to catch rides for the rest of the day so I didn't put the Garmin in to record. The car still have issues with suspension setups but I am super happy with how it turns out. MCS 1-way Hankook RS4

That looks like a failed suspension component in the rear left. Back end is bouncing all over the place, no wonder the car let go.

She's a little loose on entry, common in MIata's. Car adjustment recommendations: add rear rebound if adjustable shocks, add rear toe-in, disconnect rear anti-roll bar, reduce or eliminate front toe-out, be sure you do not have rear brake bias (What are your brake pad compounds? Go to one with less friction in rear, perhaps, or at least be sure they are the same). Driver adjustments: Trail brake less, go to power sooner. Finish braking sooner, also, consider braking more and adding a little power sooner, to move weight to rear for grip. When a tire slides, it is asking for more load to make it stick (Except if power wheelspin, or brake bias issue). In this case, and the other, the rear is asking for you to slow down a bit more while straight, and add a little power sooner to transfer weight rearward (Small changes in brake and throttle make a big difference while tires are busy cornering). Be patient, add more power only when you know you will make your apex on the inside of the turn. Good luck! Oh, and get skidpad training.

I always tell people don't focus on being too smooth unless your really really good and consistent. I see a lot of guys that are smooth and can never bring that aggression out that's alot of times needed for autocross as displayed by Randy.
