Don't listen to this guy's advice. No processed foods or garbage marketing drinks. Eat healthy organic foods, good hydration and educate yourself about minerals, vitamins and macronutrients. Cold shower or bath for better recovery and i recommend eat fruit in the morning and then on evening do meat, eggs or whatever food rich in protein and fats you choose to avoid insulin spikes and sleep better. All you need.

Same day weigh ins are the way to go. 1. Health risks, they assume the risk of the sport. That’s it. If your weight cut led to injury or death, that is your fault. 2. Missed weight, you lose. That’s it. Adapt to the same day weigh in and come in slightly under by just being in shape. Or, if your opponent wants it, you go ahead with the match but it’s an exhibition and won’t count against your opponent if you win. However, your loss will count.

While not directly related to weight cutting, another way to manage (at least of earlier, amateur athletes) is to fight at a weight class where your bodyfat is relatively low/abs are at least visible. This ensures your weight at that weight class is likely to be competitive/arent carrying around much excess body fat. The other two main variables are carb and water manipulation. Generally carb manipulation can allow you to cut 2-5kg, and water around the same. However I personally feel while the carb reduction fight week is safe, I've not done well when water cut was excessive.

They could definitely just do the weigh in 5 minutes the fight. Its the fighters responsibility to make weight. Not the promotion. Nobody cares how much you spent on fight camp or preparation. Its also the promotions responsibility to make arrangements in case of things like this happening.

From what? What have done before as sports? From nothing to this would not be great. Also do not get why you want to do hiit sprints when Muay Thai is already an high intensity sport. You will use to much energy and not recover. In my opinion do some running on low hearth rate instead of Hiit to recover and build base cardio. But do whatever you want.

How much weight do you typically cut? (I just had this video come up in suggested videos) Back in the day when I was 17-20yrs at 5'6 tall I would cut 15lbs or less, to make weight at what is referred to as "superflyweight" in boxing, I could have probably easily made regular flyweight (112lb), but never had a offer at flyweight.

So how about putting milk, ice, creatine powder, and bananas into a blender, maybe some protein powder and you got the ultimate Muay Thai milkshake. Helps with recovery and bone health/strength, plus it would help with building muscle and energy as well. Ngl I’m gonna try it while I’m training to see how it holds up, I can fit it into my diet whether I’m bulking or whether I’m cutting weight, because all I gotta do is change portion sizes to account for calories.
