Mick’s life was good for a long time he had his wife and family and his friend Nikki Sixx slowly most of it was taken away from him bit by bit the terrible curse of his illness he is very stoical he has his music and although his wife had to leave him because of his mood swings she did not leave and his kids understand the pain of the illness and don’t take his behaviour to heart he is never violent just a very irritable and he never lost his sense of homour and kindness it is slow but devastating brain damage that makes Mick loud and somewhat difficult to be around one more thing life threw at him that he didn’t deserve ankylosing spondylitis causes lesions on the brain damaging it and this is the reason for his outbursts of frustration which people who know him well are not surprised by this turn of events His wife has divorced him but they are very good friends and her new husband has known Mick since the 1970’s. He is good friend also of his wife’s new husband he has been with a supergroup himself and knows all the problems that go with that statement her husband is Bono Hewson the singer and the songwriter of a lot of the epic band U2 popular songs
