Hes my medicine everyday
Never tire of Stevie. EVER!!!! Mr Mojo
Miss him every day… simply the greatest.
This is great but has nothing on Hendrix's Radio One version
Incredible!
Angel
That 'half time' gives me the shits... shit me, i cant find a version that even comes close to the original...
His playing was so precise, so in the pocket. I was lucky to have seen him live. Otherworldly.
Saw him in Cedar Rapids, IA in April of 1990. And at Alpine Valley in August of 1990. It’s part of my soul.
Un artista straordinario
I’ve listened to many hours of live Stevie and I’ve never ever heard him smudge a single note- uncanny - X-man calibre 😅 he just plays beautifully/ - And let’s not forget his killer rhythm section- right in the groove /
Fuckin tone!!
Great interview! I subscribed and am looking forward to more great content.
Anyone know what year this was ?
I heard this on an ‘82 bootleg from the Austin opery house on srvbootlegs channel

B.B. King - 🙂🎸 King Of The Blues - 🎸 🙂
Never wastes a note.
I have listened to this party clip for years since first finding it on social media… it always amazes me HOW, just when you think he’s already maxed out and in the zone , right around the 4:30 period in this one he just reaches even higher & pulls yet another level of playing out of himself & soars even higher. He was definitely a “ Pure channel “ musically as has been stated by many , many other guitar players . No one will ever match him, period .
Hello Matt RIP Michael Rhodes
GET HER A**S TOLD, PUT HER IN HER PLACE.
2023 & it still sounds good YES!!!!!
All time great
And I don't want no back talk...🎶
NONE...
Hola dropkickblues, me podrías decir quién toca el bajo fender en esta canción? Hi, can you tell me who is the bassplayer? Thanks, from Mexico City.
GREETING FROM AMERICA! HOLA COMO ESTAS?, I THINK THAT MAY HAVE BEEN. RUSSELL BERNARD JACKSON,,LOL..
B.B.'s emotion travels through the air and the band picks it up. It's like they're a single unit.
Stevie played this way because he was a product of copious amounts of practice, access to older, extremely talented musicians due to his location and his brother’s standing in the regional scene, and most likely… providence. He had an innate ability to play the most perfectly chosen phrases at just the right time… so much so that it often sounded simple or obvious. THAT is a talent in itself. He made the near impossible seem routine, and the way he hit the perfect pitch when bending multiple strings was a skill that I haven’t seen mastered in quite the same way ever again. His tone was a product of his otherworldly hand and finger strength as well as strings the thickness of power lines and action set high enough to tightrope walk across the fretboard. A lesser guitarist would’ve been defeated by that setup, but Stevie INSISTED on it. There are stories of SRV slicing a callus off while bending a high E string and super gluing it back on immediately. He was NOT a guitar player.. he was a CONDUIT through which pure emotion was able to manifest through the six-string messenger.
100% and so well said!
Speaking of tightrope,
learned from johnny winter
What a bad motherfucker Stevie was! I guarantee almost everyone who met him was EXTREMELY surprised at his stature, because he seemed to be ten feet tall when he played. What a talent; the VERY BEST as far as my ears can tell… taken FAR TOO SOON 😔
holy s@£t 🤦♂️
🌈🎇❤️💙💚🌻🌹🍀💐💜🎇🌈
Always king of Blues BB King is the goat
BB King (great Ben Riley), was responsible for making me want to learn to play guitar. For me, within my top 10 best guitarists of humanity, he is on the list. I think your melodies and solos are extremely tasteful! Wherever you are BB, know that I will always be grateful for you to make my ears happy with your sweet and sweet music. Blues never dies.
Β.Β.King was, and I believe still is, responsible for many people around the world to turn to blues, to like them and finally to love them. His impeccable sense of time, his melodic lines, his gospel driven voice, his musical personality are inimitable! As once Freddie King responded in the question what B.B. King is: the class man, the class!
Dammit man
Simply the absolute best.
Magic Boy. Highway 61 all in one Highway Chile.
Trumpet player is going to loose his damn neck swinging that hard 😆 1:22
James "Boogaloo" Bolden, if I'm not mistaken...
Nobody like The 🤴 King
And what a great rhythm section he has behind him, bass and drums are tight, sensitive to every nuance. Thanks for posting!
Pena que essa fera foi embora. Que Deus te abençoe Que Deus te proteja.
Que maravilhosa lembrança!!! Ele manda o recado para a garota sem rodeios! E não é ótimo, baby ?!?
Wow!!!!!!!!! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RIP Texas Legend... you are missed!!!!!!!!! 💙💙💙💙💙
Dallas, Blues Festival at Lake Cliff park? or 1982 "Lee Park", Dallas, TX, (free show) June 23-24
I heard this one on the opry house Austin 82 bootleg on srvbootlegs channel
🎸🎸🎸❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥🎸🎸🎸
Stevie Ray was a runaway train. And Tommy and Chris were there to keep him on the tracks. Lots of Band of Gypsy in there
MORE SRV &DOUBLE TROUBLE
I don't think I've ever heard another guitar player who can put an expressive stamp on every single note in a lick, let alone in a whole solo like SRV did.
Let alone an entire CAREER
Amen😇😎🌍🙌💪🎼🎵🎶🎤🎸🎹🥁💐🏕🌱🌼🌞
brain melting skill this guy had
Thanks for the upload!!! Wow, you need to research P"R"O"M"O"S"M!!
Thanks ✌🙏
Ah yes another hidden SRV gem, just when you think youve seen every clip one will always pop up somewhere
Thank you for this rare gem ! I saw him LIVE 3 times and have been listening for 50, working as a professional guitarist as well
