If you want to get Rock Slide in this game, head to the rooftop of the Celadon Department Store. There should be a girl standing on the rooftop. If you talk to her, she should say that she is thirsty and would like a drink. Buy her a sodapop from the vending machine located at the top right corner of the rooftop. Talk to her again and she will give you TM48 which contains Rock Slide. The other TM's you could get from her are TM 13 (Ice Beam) and TM 49 (Tri Attack) by giving her a Fresh Water and Lemonade respectably. Note that none of your pokemon that you are currently using could learn these moves, I am posting them here just in case your remaining two pokemon (that you have left to capture) can learn these moves. Ice Beam would demolish Lance's pokemon.

Fun fact: In BDSP, in snowpoint temple, the lower down you go, the more of a chance that you have of steelix/onix showing up

That Rare Candy that you were looking for on Route 9 is not there in Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow. The Rare Candy was added in Fire Red and Leaf Green. Also the item that you were looking for on the south of the route is a Burn Heal, however that is only in Fire Red and Leaf Green.

Hi, I learned that from the game FAQ's website. I just googled "lt. surge's gym puzzle" to find it. The link should say "Vermilion Gym: Pokemon Red and Blue guide". When you click on it, there should be a section that explain the glitches of the trash can puzzle. Also, the UA-camr "Crystal" made a video on this as well (although he/she just experiments with Trash Can 7). It still covers the glitch of the top leftmost can containing the second switch. Fun fact: There are some bugs in the trash can puzzle: 1. The top leftmost can will always have a chance to contain a second switch despite the can with the first switch not being next to it. In the video, you kept on finding the first switch in the top rightmost can. That means that the second switch could have been in the top leftmost can as well. 2. If a trash can in the middle row contains the first switch, the second switch is always located to the right (not to the left, above or below as the Rocker trainer states) of the trash can or again, the top leftmost can.

Since Farfetch'd is a pokemon you got in a trade, you will not be allowed to rename it. This also goes for pokemon traded over from another game (for example, Pokemon Blue) that you are playing. If you go to the Name Rater, he will say that "Dux" is an impeccable nickname and refuse to change it. So you are stuck with the name "Dux".
