This show was one of the best shows ever!! Definitely iconic!! Had some odd wtf moments and the writing was all over the place but the storylines and shock value was TOP TIER!!! It would have been all worth it if the writers and Marlene had bothered to connect the dots like the heavily invested fans did. Alex Drake could have been there all along from the very first night since Spencer was unaccounted for a part and is the one who wakes up first and goes looking for Alison. Swapping in and out throughout the entire seven series would have been an incredible twist. She could have also been the “Spencer-like” Avery from the group of girls in the next town. The foundations were all there. And the ending could have left it open in that we didn’t know if it was actually Alex or Spencer. Leave us guessing in true PLL fashion.
