I Bought the WORST Square Body Burb on Marketplace
Just got myself a SQUARE BODY SUBURBAN! It's rough, but the frame is solid and it's perfect for my overlanding plans. Traded my Jeep (Project Bluelander) for it - details in the video! This Suburban needs a lift, tires, engine work, and bodywork. It'll be a slow build, but I'm excited! What mods would YOU do? Let me know in the comments!

Why I'm Selling My Diesel Grand Cherokee
don't look bad at all, should see some of the stuff I buy. looks awesome man, looking for a 4x4 suberben 3 row near me to for a family hauler
The bones are good, minimal rust, but it was gross inside. Several half eaten bagels, dirty diaper, etc 🤮
Looks like it fits the bill Give it a thorough cleaning and a tuneup, check the brakes etc, she’s a runner Oh and brush on some fresh house paint!
an impact a couple of jacks and that day of pain becomes a victorious memory! I wanted to see an off road winch install.
Winch install is about half way through
Looks like you had a great time wheeling despite a stick poking fun at you right off. And you got to love doing upgrades!👍
Wheeling is always a good time!
@ so is cruizin!
I dont know if your bikes are still stock, but you can get over 30mph for free. Bend or cut the throttle stop screw out of the way, and move the spring to the outer most hole in the governor arm. You got lucky, my headlight failed within the first 5 minutes of riding in my yard. Good video, looks like a lot of fun.
Yeah bikes are bone stock. They need better headlights for sure, it was hard to see! We had a great time though. Not sure if Alex is ready for them to go faster because he mostly uses these with his son, but I’m sure in the next couple years he’ll mod them a bit
@DaysofPainandVictory I got an LED bulb off Amazon, for the stock housing that was better, but it still depended greatly on rpm, and it burned out fairly quickly too. A battery with a light pod seems to be the best bet, because the charging coils are pretty limited on these engines.
gracias friend.
GRACIAS FRIEND.
GRACIAS FRIEND
De nada! What are you building?
🇺🇸
Just came across your video, I too own this type of vehicle 2008 Jeep grand cherokee 3.0 diesel. And I agree it is a car you enjoy a lot but hate regarding cost of maintenance. It is a love / hate relationship. To change oil I recommend getting a vacuum pump and pull the old oil from the dipstick works well. Fuel filter change once a year again dependant on amount of miles travelled yearly. All the best.
Thanks for watching! I no longer have this, ran into some emissions issues that I was tired of trying to figure out so I bailed on this one. Driving a 2011 Yukon now, really enjoying the full size space.
Alex, let’s see some stuff on the DoubleCab Bronco
Agreed!!!
everyone is calling me out
You’re doing an awesome job on BIG CHIEF! I think this cage will give you all the protection you and the fam needs. Keep up the good work 👍👍
Thanks! it will be even better when I get all the gussets in
Glad our Tube Master could help with those complex copes. If you combine it with some of our Tube Jig parts it could make some of those larger tubes easier as well. That cage is looking good and should be plenty strong too!
I saw that tube jig on a recent Instagram post, looks like it would be really helpful! We'll have to give a a try when we start building Alex's Bronco!
Looking great! Thanks for all tips on tooling used and techniques! Love the Chief, when I do my roll cage on my Chief I may be reaching out!
Thanks! Yeah let me know I’ll help however I can
the big chief is looking awesome!!
Thanks Chris!
Mine didn’t click right out the box. Overtorqued my control arms
Dang mine is still doing good, and it gets used quite a bit
Looking good!
Thanks!
So if buying new rockers and rollers etc. would order matter when putting the new ones in?
No not if they are new, just wanna make sure if you are reusing everything goes back in its original place
looking like a beast! great job figuring out the cage!
Thanks! I like how it is turning out!
Super good vid thanks for making it
Does this modification change the gas mileage? How fast and even do tires wear out? Does it matter for alignment? Thank you
Fuel economy went down a little with the bigger tires. Tires wear normally, not any different than stock. You do have to get an alignment anytime you lift a vehicle
Can you double stack these strut spacers? Thinking of doing this to my 1st gen Highlander
I wouldn’t, I think it would put a lot of strain on the hardware plus the factory suspension geometry likely can’t handle that much lift,
Cache Creek is pronounced like CASH . And even though you didn't mention it, I know you had to drive though it >Grin<... Quesnel is pronounced with a silent "S" " kweh · nel " You missed out on a Provincial Park "Ghost Town " Called Barkerville. You would have turned onto Hwy 26 Just north of Quesnel. At one time during the Gold Rush it was Bigger than San Francisco. Still has loads of buildings and interesting hikes. If you come back up this way again, you should schedule a day or 2 out there. You can overnight in a Hotel right in Barkerville Or in Wells, the (also) Historic town just outside of Barkerville.
Right on, thanks for the info!
Gotta say my favorite car was tge red gtx. I had one when i eas a kid . Real cop magnet ! Great road trip tganks for bringing us along
@@walterdavis4808 we haven’t had a mopar on the channel yet, I’d love to build one! Thanks for watching!
How does it sounds? Aggressive or not so much?
@@babukasworld761 no noticeable sound change
Howdy, I've been trying to find out about this year's hangover run at 7mile, what time does it start? Is it going to be Wednesday? I've never been there before.
@@Rager93 yeah it’s January 1st every year, starts whenever the park opens. Usually quite a few rigs there by 10am
@DaysofPainandVictory thanks brother!! I really appreciate it!
@ no problem! It’s a lot of fun. My Jeep is all tore apart so I won’t be there this time
@DaysofPainandVictory sad day!! I was hoping there'd be some snow too!!
@DaysofPainandVictory have you ever been Overlanding with your Jeep?
Any check engine light from the mass air flow sensor?
nope, 7500 miles so far no issues
Thanks for the update.
@@khmerryder8963 no problem
19:06 The pink/purple flowers are called fireweed. They are often the first plant growing after a wildfire.
right on thanks!
Great job with the video. I watched it because I did the same upgrade on my 2015 Highlander and love the way it looks but don’t love the clunking sounds it makes especially when there are more than two people in the car. Did you experience this? I’m considering removing the hardware but worry the larger tires might not fit.
probably need to recheck all the bolts to make sure nothing is loose. Thanks for watching!
Great Video! Thank you for posting. How long would it take a mechanic shop to do this?
with a lift probably 4 hours. Thanks for watching!
You are so doomed if I am your mentor lol. Happy to help anytime!
blind leading the blind? I'm cool with that haha
What kit is this?
there's a link for it in the description
just coming to say that this video was 4th recommended as i was watching a joe rogan clip and your thumbnail caught me and made me double take and giggle and then i said to myself, THATS a video id watch because of the thumbnail, even being a small channel so I wana say, despite this being one long sentence, good job on that thumbnail, and good luck to your channel! thumbs up emoji
Right on man thanks!
Awd ? So youre saying quadratrac is sht ? Because most all Jeeps used quadratrac. And there is nothing wrong with that. Ive also never use 4 low myself but i dont do crazy offroading i guess.
Yeah quadratrac is garbage for wheeling, it’s great for on road snowy conditions though
That should keep you and the kiddos safe! Well done
Thanks! It’s just getting better too with all the triangulation, can’t wait to show the next phase!
150 cars my guess
257,150 HP, what’s your guess?
That ending was tough
yeah it was a bummer, gonna drag the thing back to the shop in the spring, there's a chance its the timing chain. So I'll check that, and if its not the problem I'll yank the engine and start the rebuild process
Great video.
thanks! hope it helped!
Slick setup! Very nice addition!
@@TorquePowerVideo it will be very helpful for sure! Thanks for watching!

It's definitely worth saving up a bit of money and rebuild the front end with all Kryptonite parts.
That’s the next step with the steering components for sure

Unable to pass, headlights that choose when to work, getting pulled out of your lane when getting passed by a semi. Sounds like driving my Wrangler.
Your wrangler might get a few more mpgs 😂
@@DaysofPainandVictory It all depends on wind. With a strong headwind I can get 9 mpg. with a tailwind I'll get 20.
@ 9! That’s impressive! My one ton gets that towing!
Your views on the road to Vegas are so much better than mine lol. If I drive, its like 12hrs of corn fields, some mountains, then desert. This is very entertaining guys! I love it.
