What a game, a true Tay-Bowl tug of war! I found your channel during the playoffs and it's been fun to watch. I have my own 16 team league in week 11 in it's first season but don't have much time to play at the moment. It's been nice to have your uploads on in the background to scratch the FDF itch! Aah, I was rooting for the Bears in that first game, they were really unlucky. It shows just how great a game this is though with finishes like that.

Hi there, great video as always. Just on the point of the end of that second game. I’m not sure what rule you were using to give Dakota the touchdown, so you may be right, but that way I saw it was they used 1 more tick on the clock than was available. They threw a 5 on the red die, so that’s 3 ticks. There was only 1 tick left, I think, but clock efficiency would reduce the time used to 2 ticks, i.e. 1 tick over the time available. On page 7 of the Pro Game instructions at the top there is the rule headed “Convert TD result to FGA as time expires in the game”. This rule allows a touchdown outcome to be converted to a field goal if the last drive used one more tick than was left in the game, after application of EFFICIENT/INEFFICIENT qualities, which was the case. So, it looks to me like it should have been a field goal attempt for Dakota rather than a touchdown. Let me know if you agree or if there was some other reason for giving the touchdown to Dakota. All the best.

Hi there. Another great set of games, I enjoyed watching that immensely, especially with the standings being shown. It’s always good to see how things are going especially as we are now 6 weeks in. The only thing I did notice, though, was that in the second game you used 14 ticks but only counted 12 in the second quarter, because you missed two ticks in the left-hand count (I think it was when the field goal was blocked at 50:42). Luckily, it probably didn’t make a difference to the score as Cleveland would probably have taken a tick off due to being EFFICIENT on their later drive when they scored the touchdown, and that would have been the last tick of the half, so they’d have got the touchdown anyway but that should have been the last action of the half.

Hey there. Just to let you know, on page 7 of the V2.0 Pro Game Instructions it says automatic kneel down can take place with 1 tick left on the clock (1:15). If there are 2 ticks left though, and they throw a red die that would give them a 2 I often just count that as a successful run down of the clock, albeit not a kneel down as such.

I see you start the next drive with poor field position after a missed field goal. Is this a personal rule that you have decided to implement? I only say because in the instructions it says that after a missed field goal the opponents start with average field position, and that is how I have always played it. Just wanted to ask because I know some people play their own rules, or maybe there are some other rules that I don't know about. Thanks.

Second drive in that second game should have been a PUNT-BU, not a regular PUNT. Roswell would have had a field goal attempt as a result on the next drive. Oops!

Awesome stuff...I love home brewed leagues. I always use fictional teams, leagues, divisions, etc.
