This channel is intended for an Adult Audience (ages 14 and up). Content includes adult diecast collectibles, restorations and customs. As I document my processes, I use power tools and chemicals which are not intended to be used by kids without Adult Supervision. I primarily collect old 1/64 scale Hot Wheels redlines, Matchbox Lesney and Johnny Lightning Toppers, but I do like all brands of diecast cars. I may not post videos very frequently, but I do plan to continue updating the channel with more diecast restorations and customizing videos as time permits :)

Four Horsemen Diecast June Pontiac GTO Drag Racing Build
Here's my latest custom, a modified Hot Wheels 2006 Pontiac GTO made into a Funny Car for the Four Horsemen Diecast group's June build. The "Alky Hauler" sits on a dragster base from a Hot Wheels Rolling Thunder. I fabricated a hinge mechanism from scratch to attach the GTO body to the dragster base. Thanks again to Xavier @diecastshowcustoms Paul @diecastgraveyard1 and Andrew @maple.leaf.customs for inviting me to be the guest Horseman for this month's build 👍

Hot Wheels Custom Volkswagen Samba Bus

It's been a while since my last video, but I wanted to get something uploaded for the #missyouopa build, which also happens to be 420 day! The rules for the build were very simple, build anything that's either a Tootsie Toy, Midgetoy or German vehicle, so I decided to create this old school hippie bus. The build is for our friend in the community, Opa's Diecast Resotorations, who's going throug...

1973 Hot Wheels Redline Police Cruiser Restoration

It's been a while since my last video, but it's finally getting warm enough to paint outside again! This video is a collaboration with Diecast Show Customs on the restoration of a 1973 Hot Wheels Redline Police Cruiser. A link to his video is below. First released in 1973, the Police Cruiser never had 'Olds' or '442' in it's name although it was a modification of the original 1971 release of th...
Notorious '53 Cadillac Monster Truck Build Off

Jamie Lambert from The Diecast Demons facebook group is hosting a Monster Truck build off. The rules are to build a Monster truck using only Greenlight tires in 1/64 scale. It cannot be built on an existing Monster Jam chassis. My entry for the build is based on the Hot Wheels Custom '53 Cadillac designed by Larry Wood and turned into an "El Camino" style pick-up vehicle. The wheels are from th...

This video documents my custom Hot Wheels '66 Dodge A100 Van build for the Three Blind Mice June Invitational build. I'd like to thank George, Paul and Lee for hosting this ongoing event, and also a special thanks to George for picking the casting this month, which is the Hot Wheels 1966 Dodge A100 van. I chose to use the Star Wars themed van from the 2016 pop culture series. These premium line...

On January 17, 2020, Bob from Deep Junk Garage issued the "Race Car Challenge". The goal of the build is for Diecast community involvement, support and channel exposure. My custom build is based on the Hot Wheels '55 Chevy Bel Air Gasser, appropriately named "Frost Bite" This build features an easy (but slow, lol) way to remove printed tampos without damaging the underlying paint. Mattel's 1970 Hot Wheels Factory

In today's video I will be testing a 50 year old Baby Boomer "toy", Mattel's 1970 Hot Wheels Factory #4355. This video is not for kids as I demonstrate the use of sharp knifes and hot molten plastic material. Injection molding is the process used to mass-produced plastic parts such as windshields, interiors and wheels. A two-part mold is held in a hydraulic press as molten thermoplastic is inje...

Great video. Interesting!
That custom wood bed made this one of the most impressive 1/64 builds that I've seen! Looks awesome!
They made one that made cowboys and Indians. It was the coolest toy I ever had.
very cool. I was fortunate to have lots of toys when I was a kid in the 60s & 70s. This is one I never had. Thanks for sharing this.
If you used Sharpie markers for detail paint the clear coat will make them run?
@@Blinco440 Yes, the Sharpie will run if a solvent based clear cote is sprayed over it. Always apply Sharpie after clearing. Or use a waterbased paint such as Createx instead, which is not affected by solvents
@@DT99race Thank you very much.
Awesome.....I want one!!
🔥🔥🔥🔥 nice nice 😍😍😍😍
Dude turn charger R/T into cheap lollies livery.....CRINGE
Super custom top cool😊
Thanks! 👍
Well done...thank you for the tips on wheels on how to make them stay in place and roll
You're welcome and thanks for the nice comments! 👍😊

Do you think this method will work on new Hot Wheels Color Shifters? I have a plastic body Blvd Bruiser and I want to remove the color shifting paint and then repaint it.
I've never used it specifically on color shift paint, but I suggest scuffing the paint with 220-400 grit sandpaper before trying it. Sometimes there is a hard clear coat which can take longer to remove, scuffing helps break through this barrier. Good luck 👍
Thanks for sharing 👍👍
Mattel cowboy and 8ndian factory
Had that same type toy with the western themed molds. Never quite got the plastique to melt well and rarely was able to completely fill the mold chamber. My cowboys and Indian figures all looked like double and quad amputees.
🎉
Corvette 🎉
The original Hotwheels car maker, although it’s more complicated than the car maker.
What a wonderful toy. From a true Golden Age of toy making. Thank you for the video.
Well done on the basket case. I got some good tips from you today for some of my noodlehead projects
I know there is one of the rear loaders in the Trona dump
I had one from the late 70s early 80s. Didn’t realize they had one before that.
Super le custom de side kick 😊
I wanted this didn't get it.I never saw refills for the toy.
Very nice build.
Forgot to say a HUGE thank you for the 1/16 drill bit tip. WOW! That sure makes that axle fitting so much easier.
Very well done!
Had one of these. But it stank bad
That's great, never seen it before! New subscriber here...................
Thank you! 👍
Sir, thank you so much for this great video and info, which I can see here! It is very interesring!
Any footage of the workers stealing the Super Treasure hunts off the line ?
Awesome restomod! Thanks for breaking down your video. It helps out a lot 👍🏽😎
The music is totally unnecessary and very annoying
I need one General Lee 01
Nicely done
I have both cars .vintage 1969.made in China.still packaged.many years ago I paid 32 dollars.just for the pair.i still collect.them
Thank you, trying to understand my blue mongoose find better, your video was a big help! I am sure I had at least one as a child.
Very nice best one I've ever seen!💗 that's how they should be made and sold!!#😎👍
Thank you!
Hot rods/gassers combined with scary stuff is soooo cool!
Not for TODAY'S clueless kids. For our generation this was simple 😉
Love 💕 it, looks just like the real thing, totally worth it.
This is awesome! I may have been born in October of 1990, but I'm STILL fascinated by all this! About the different colored materials mixing together, while I understand that some people would prefer to have one perfect color, I believe that a lot of swirls and other shapes in the mixed materials would look really cool! If I were to get my hands on this, I would add 2 pieces of plastic. For example, 3 quarters of a blue plastic piece, and one quarter of a green plastic piece. Hopefully this would result in a blue car with dazzling green swirls and other cool shapes on the plastic molding. Sound good?
That's a good idea 👍
Very nice. Great choice of car.
This has to be one of the coolest videos I've seen on UA-cam!
Thanks, I'm glad you like it 👍
those wheels came out nice for originals. Do you know if the USA engine will fit in a hong kong casting? I had only had hong kong bugs as a kid, and i like the feel of the metal motor. It gives the bug some nice weight. Thats a really well done purple and that fender work... never would know unless you said something
They will fit in the opening but need to be modified to attach them
I like the driver.. what a fun idea to ad. I have alot of original redline sidekicks and a few modern ones. I found one like yours that also had a metal base as well as the plastic based version, but for whatever reason sidekicks just go fast. That FTE swap is very nice. Alot of the racers don't use the FTEs but i think thats a better choice if you got corners or hills on your track. I think there is too many vids to scroll through on 3d Botmaker to see it race, unless you happen to have a more direct link then the one in the descripton.
I made this car for 3D Botmaker's King of the Mountain race. It did race pretty well but luck was not on our side, lol
@@DT99race Luck is a factor especially if on the original fat track like he used to run. But you still need a fast car to be in play. Was the car sent without return or do they return them. thanks for the replies of late....
@@gnrvintagediecastracing7978 Yes, I did get all my cars back. I wasn't expecting them but Adrial is a good dude. I started following him when his channel was small, so most of my entries were from a few years ago. The 'Blue Streak' was one of my fastest builds back in the day 😉
@@DT99race yes i was following him when his channel was under and over 1000 subs, I liked what he was doing thought his races were hokey which was the charm. He helped me get my channel started, that was just before "The Fear" I was queuing up to go and youtube brought in those new rules. After that, some big big channels died, quit or lost huge volumes of viewers, and his channel broke through and soon after, we still communicated, but i just didn't want to bug him as his channel became so friggin huge... He has maintained his roots with the early guys, I would not say i am one of those guys, more like i was the grass not the roots. But i do know anyone trying to start a new channel under those new rules , very hard to beat the algorythm. I was happy to get hte help from him, i had no idea how to do anything like open a channel, a total dinosauric newbie (old guy/non techie) and i just wanted to have some older cars racing on youtube. So i did that... and then, got busy again... but yeah, i see some of the old mainstays posting here from those years back like Guitarted and Broke. I liked his channel and his Rodger Dodgers... Is there a quick link to your blue streak in a race i can watch.. thanks...
@@gnrvintagediecastracing7978 I agree! I'm like the grass too, lol. I remember sending him cars for his early tournaments, now he obviously doesn't need them! I don't bug him either, but he does respond when I contact him 👍 I'm happy for him and his success, not many make it like he did. I started this channel many years ago, but just don't have the time to put out many videos these days. I primarily use Instagram as I can post daily and it doesn't take much time 😉
I came across the hot wheels factory about a year ago... of course i thought it was neat but didn't know enough about it. Thanks for showing it in action. I will probably never see another one in hindsight lol..
You never know when one may pop up again, glad you liked the video 👍
@@DT99race Yes I really did like the video And now i know exactly what to look for. next time when viewing the set.
Doing some research for my old lesney Matchbox I will be working on soon and ran into this video. So glad I did!🤯👍🏼 Excellent video

Love it!! I like how you preserved the original front end details and flamed it out 👌🏼
Thanks! The flames really set this on 🔥
