Full on Geek mode incoming: Actual musician here (and someone who learned copyright law in university in regards to music composition): - Latadenta has different background groove, different chord progression, different tempo, and a different overarching phrase structure. There is far more harmoinc movement in Latadenta's than Requiem for a Dream. - The similarlities come from the motivic structure (the high low repeating) and the type of instrument that is playing it (strings). However, it is two differenet style of strings playing it. Requiem for a Dream has an actual orchestra playing the soundtrack (or that is what I'd expect when it comes to something of that scale) and Latadenta defintely ain't paying an orchestra to make their music. That is a string sample from a sound library. So you can't even argue the timbre of the melody is the same. - Further more, the factual rhythm used is not the exact same. The closest you get is full measures for eighth notes which most courts would not find as substancial enough to be integral to the original music composition. That is beside the fact that Requiem of a Dream uses those measures to transition into a different chord, where Latadenta uses it as part of the melody. - Nonesuch, also, if they were to sue, first probably would send a cease and desist of the track before anything if they felt that it was too similar. That may be the only thing Digital Bandidos would ever see. And that would be jumping the chain of command. It should go to Latadenta first, they are the composer that wrote the track. If it did go to Digital Bandidos, they would immiedate send that straight to Curtis and Tuba as the people in charge of BetterTOS2. - More than likely than that is Latadenta directly would be sued, not Digital Bandidos. At most, Latadenta did the compsosition on contract work, and is not apart of the company Digital Bandidos. It is a seperate entilies music being used in a mod for a game. - And after all of that. BetterTOS2 is not big enough to garner such attention. There is no expectation of Latadenta getting sued, or Digital Bandidos getting in hot water. The grounds that Nonesuch would have is super shaky at best, and it wouldn't be a high profile enough of a case for them to get support to go forward with such endevors. - And as a final PS, I will end with a quote from the description of Latadenta's video: "it never got into the actual mod"

Referring to the thumbnail, I'd argue the main differences are the faction, the guest list mechanic, and that poisoner takes the place of both tav and soci for cov, like wild is for LO and tracker

Technically, it's a gray area to me. There's no Enchanter because 15 didn't train anyone. Meanwhile, he guessed 1 as Coven despite that he's actually townie (And he himself isn't coven either). Now if it was a really cool Jester play, then props to him, but for the people that's reading the comment: *Throwing is intentionally losing on purpose.* He claimed coven as a townie to get himself hanged because "haha funni", not because he's not coven allign. ... But he somehow got 2 out of 4 covens out of the game thanks to his lucky guesses AND Marshal popping up at the same time. But two townies also died too AND has a very inappropriate last will, so it really doesn't matter. All in all: Don't be like that Coroner.
