Fire at Beaver Village Condos at Winter Park, CO (2 of 2)
Jan 12, 2017 - fire erupts at Building 6 of Beaver Village Condos at Winter Park, Colorado. Luckily everyone was able to get out unharmed, but the building didn't fare too well. Thank you to the Grand County Fire Department and other first responders for your swift action!

Flying Trapeze - Forward Over Catch

Finally caught my forward over, on my first time throwing it across with the team at Club Med Turkoise no less. We would have cleaned up the timing if we had more tries, but trapeze was busy that day so no complaints. Flying Trapeze - Half Time Full Twisting Straight Jump Catch and Return

Caught my half time full twisting straight jump twice with the circus team at Club Med; it's a fun little trick (with a big name), and great on the hands when flying in the humidity! Backend Uprise Swing (10/6/2013)

First time doing a back end uprise and cast off out of lines; great way to end an awesome season! Plenty of room to improve on the form pointed toes, straighter hips when mounted (vaulted?), less arm flapping throughout the cradle but I'm just glad I didn't peel off the bar or kick the board on the way down. Picked back up the planche to keep working towards getting it out of lines. Can't figure out how to add the half turn to the net, since apparently I turn from my legs... which is why my ankles were tied together in the third planche (note the lack of straddle in the force out). Added the force out turn around to my half turn, and between that and the pull, I'm getting some height! Ideally the sweep out of the turn around would have been earlier and bigger, but I managed to salvage it and not slam into the board. Started the process of taking tricks across out of lines! I attempted my first uprise shoot this weekend at TSNY - DC and went way too far forward and launched myself haha! Happy to see a good video of a person with a similar build to see where I should be positioned on the bar. I'll be taking a peek at more of your videos to see some technique. Nice work!
Thanks for posting this. We were a little anxious when we heard about the fire. We own a condo at Beaver Village, but in a different building. Glad everyone was okay, but sure sorry for their property losses. Thanks again.

Lol - "you were just swinging back and forward" - this "back and forward" takes YEARS of practice. Amazing swing! U gain so much height...

that's the basic idea, except that building height in your swing opens a whole new door of tricks. check out the other videos for more examples.

it definitely helps with the upper body strength, but watch out for tares! any other drills you'd recommend? the only two I know of are these and beats.
