Hey Nick, if you won't be moving the cables that much, I guess it would be enough to just use tape. Consider not buying the cheapest tape you find, since the glue should be decent.

@@NickJacobsMusic No worries, I'm not too sure about any brands. I bought mine from Amazon as well. If you pick tape with mostly good reviews, you should be fine.

I switch my pedals now and then, dont worry it is all alligned nowadays😂

Have u tried to adjust your springs to a comfortable degree? i personally had them way to hard when i tried to start double bass, but then i watched a few videos from James Payne and Wanja Gröger (UA-cam Drummers with sick double bass skills) i learned more about how the pedal etc works. Now i have them medium hard and i feel like i can reach a lot more control and speed during practise. @@lucaondrums hey thanks for replying back. I actually did loosen the spring tension from super tight to medium loose. I could see a little difference in controlling and dexterity but my double bass speed has not increased from 120bpm 16th notes speed for the last 5months. Maybe it should change if I keep at it. Ankle motion and swivel also kind of helps. Thanks for the advice will check out the video.

i had the same problem, i was mainly using my whole leg for the motion and i couldn't get above 120/130. It improved since i started practising the ankle motion! You have to watch james payne video about the ankle motion, it will help you a lot if you practise on a regular basis.
