For 10km or less race, maybe this method can help one to run fast to win because the runner can depend on his own strength to move forward even the posture is counterproductive. However, for full marathon or ultramarathon, this hip-dropping posture may cause unnecessary resistance to the forward moving motion.

It’s jumping/bounding, not running.
The degree of hip extension is the forward motor of effortless running! IMHO this is way too rarely explained and demonstrated! Everyone is fixating on knee drive forward, however, it is much more the standing leg that lets you glide forward on the hip extension! Thanks!
Why lean backwards when you’re running forwards?
