I did not know to use cider! Thank you for the tip. Next time.
@@denisecatlett7203 I did not taste the vinegar at all so 2 tbsp was perfect. Your welcome.
With all the seasoning I thought you were making a huge batch of cannabutter 😭😂😂
@@lori11228 lol actual herbs thank you. My crock pot decided to only slightly warm it all. Glad I got it 5 hours later. Thank goodness for Black Friday deals I ordered a name brand Crockpot.
@alicesgardentoplate7904 Been there done that haha! I put a whole bunch of chicken in the crockpot for white Chilli to come home to after a race day, and when I came home i was met with barely warm chicken and a whole bunch of hungry bellies. That ended up being a take out night lol
It's called sandwich salsa. It has onions, pickles, tomatoes, any spicy jarred pepper (jalapenos, banana peppers, Mama Lils, etc), olive oil, salt, pepper, Italian herbs, and a bit of the juice from the jarred peppers. We've been making it since the seventies.

Great video......this will work with......any.....seed? I bet sally understands which seeds i mean. She probably appreciates a good buzz😂
@@dinero1169 i have tried many types of plants. The key is to transfer them to soil allow them to acclimate for a week. Take outside start the hardening off process.

Ok, i do have a serious question. I tried to find one in your video list and shorts list but couldn't. How should I store potatoes so they don't grow alien fingers? I have a potato pot..... They still grow before I can use them all. My mom used to tell me it was because of the moisture in the air from being by lake Erie and you cant stop it.
Mmmmm amazing looking. We need smellavision.....or taste tv

Wrong
Huh
Please do explain. I love to learn. I have done this process of pulling the onions and have not had an issue with curing.
Since my onions were already popping out of the ground there was no need to remove the dirt around them. The leaves fall and nutrients cannot go to the onion. Please give me your expert advice I love to learn.

@@amir_hamza74 thank you years in the making
I will try it with friends at a party one night

I've planted cos lettuce where the garlic was, it's doing good!
@@patrickkirwan3353 awesome! A quick crop for sure.
Are you planning to plant the garlic back in the same bed you harvested from? When I did that in my garden the garlic suffered disease and had a really bad harvest. From what I learned on line you should wait 3 years before planting in the same spot.
I put neem cake meal in the soil. It is a slow release fertilizer, prevents disease and pest control especially nematodes.
Cheers guys!
Don't be angry, I was just curious about peppers ;p
Sorry I looked angry to you. I hope you learned something.
Wish I watched this earlier today😅. I pick the blossom buds too close. Hopefully I didn't hurt them too much
We all learn as we grow! I wish you a bountiful harvest.
❤❤❤ yeeeaahh baby yeaah!

Good!
Go through it every year specially with tomatoes 😂😂
Salsa and pasta sauce! Thank you.
Do you have a written recipe?
I cannot share a video here bummer. I made a whole video on how to make it. Go to my playlist that is harvest preserve. In that list is how to make it and in the description of the video is my recipe.
@@alicesgardentoplate7904 Ok, thanks.
I was just in my garden looking at the garlic scapes forming and was contemplating exactly this. Didn't really consider lettuce.
The type of lettuce mentioned handles heat so no bolting. A quick grower!
Make sure the wood shavings aren't from treated wood
They are for animal bedding so no pressure treated wood was used. Thank you for your concern.
Im gonna really try that 1..thanx mija
May it come out so good and become a favorite of yours. Thank you
???
Sorry for the high winds messing up my microphone. Topping off vine tomato varieties toward end of harvest send energy to ripen the fruit instead of new growth. Topping off also helps with unruly vine growth for easier access.
Where were those plastic covers from?
Etsy seller that had a 3d company. Safe food plastic!!!
FYI to make a red enchilada sauce swap the salsa out to regular homemade.
The glass for these bottles are designed to be able to withstand heat people into them as a thickening agent you can use exanthem gum, and when you finish to put your hot sauce into the jars, put the bottles in the box or original container upside down to help the bottle, seal better with the heat of the sauce on the lid you do not have to heat up your bottles before putting the sauce in but yes, you do have to sanitize them
I was hoping to see a method that didn’t kill the fermented goodness of the sauce, but that 20 minute simmer must kill them.
refrigerate sealed with no boil you can consume with in 2-3 months after fermentation. That will keep the good bacteria. The boil is for shelf stable purposes.
That Looks great
thank you so much. I hope you try it out your self.
Looks delicious
thank you so much. I hope you try the recipe
Thank you
My onions do that just sitting in the netted bag. I dont know why but my potatoes do the same thing. They are in a vegetable bin.
Potatoes and onions are like seeds and will grow in perfect conditions. The plant will grow but the onion or potato is no longer edible. Green onions will produce a root hormone in the water and will continue to grow.
