I am a Pacific Northwest-based reclaimed wood artist and founder of Urban Timber Revival. I take pride in creating unique, one-of-a-kind pieces using reclaimed wood from old buildings and structures in the region. From large works of art to small home decor items, I find working with reclaimed wood not only visually striking but also environmentally conscious. I believe in giving new life to old materials, preserving a piece of the Pacific Northwest's history and contributing to sustainability efforts. How much are your kids?
Nice work, love this style! Can't wait for the long video!
All Three. Lovely work
Hi! Can I use a magic eraser on a solid wood oak Table to strip some Of the wax and finish off ? It’s just a tad too golden/ warm For me.
How do you keep from cracking though? I painted on some wood slices and they cracked. I’m sad because I hand painted the image.. it took time
Are you calling the strips laths?? I can’t seem to find them online or at home depot or Lowe’s.
Are you saying the material is lath?? I’ve been trying to locate some 1/4” strips at the big box store but all I’ve found has been pressure treated.
So glad i came across this. Thank you Amber these are perfect, cannot wait to make mine. ❤🎉
You are so welcome!
Thank you!!
You're welcome!
Missed your kit.. will you have the direction on your website ?
Updated link added, I still have some kits left.
Do you have an online shop? I love Unsellable Houses, and I love THESE!

Okay everybody around here and I do mean ABSOLUTELY EVERYBODY HAS A 5-POINTED BARN STAR I don't know what those things you are showing are. I was trying to find out what barnstar means what it's for. But apparently there's no information for that. I don't know what decoration you're doing and I hope that's not something satanic barnstar is for
They are a play on barn quilts, rest assured there is no evil worship happening 😆
Would it work on a rock?
I am not sure, let me know if you try it!
Love the green ones
Thank you!
Love this! ❤
Thank you!
Your work is amazing, I would love try it... ❤
Thank you! 😊
Love this idea👍🏼 You can add some Glitter/Snow on top of the Roof and maybe some on the top the Trees as well for a more realistic look..
Next time I will try that!
😊
Good job thx for sharing enjoyed it Keep building
Thanks 👍
Can u give tuto?
If I make another one, I will slow it down with more detail. ❤️
How wide are the boards?
About 4 inches
This was very helpful, Amber. Thank you for sharing.
Glad it was helpful!
Did u seal it with anything? And would it work the same with an actual photograph?
No, and no.
I found places that make flooring often set their off cut out for free!
Nice!
I've just started woodworking and I loved your piece of art ❤
Thank you!
Could I use also use the gloss-lustre-lustre because that’s the only one I have…
Never tried that? Let me know!
Is this food safe? Does the boiling water enlarge the pieces? Does the face-down side get gnarly from laying on the parchment paper?
Probably not food safe, but it’s art? Everything worked great, just don’t soak it too long.
What are your measurements for the individual pieces please?
I don’t have that, this piece has sold.
These are so cute. Where can i find the Santa stickers?
Hobby Lobby
Find a better technique , theres mu h better options
So maybe you should post a video? Or maybe just be nice.
@AmberSeymourUrbanTimberRevival Being very nice , when you posted this video, how many videos of the same technique already posted ... lots, maybe? I have over the years, developed a wide array of transfer techniques. Many I can do safely becomes the size of my studio space is well ventilated but the transfers are incredible. My best advice is to experiment. Many of my recipes that I have created are my own technique. Don't take it personally this is a crafty " hobby lobby" technique...but I do transfers that are up to 8 feet by 20 feet in some of my installations, but I tweak it for smaller pieces.
Very good instructional. Thanks
Thx!
Will it transfer dye stain on clothes?
I didn’t have an issue
So you think it would more budget friendly to cut down the 2x4 rather than buying the lathe strips. Just curious.
You could!
Those are totally awesome. I would totally put one of those up in My Home. The neighbors will be totally jealous lol
Right?!
Do you show where to put paint????!!!!!!!!!!
Anywhere, it’s just kinda Freeform ❤️
Awesome project thx for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Loving your work! I'm curious what the profit is since i may want to try my hand at it
It’s been great!
Thanks for sharing!!
Your welcome!
VERY BEAUTIFUL! 😍Also why does everyone say Modge Podge? My husband included👍🏻 Its actuallu cute but i cant help but in my mind say its "MOD" podge😄
Right?!
Easier method is to add rit to isopropyl alcohol and just brush or wipe on the wood. That way you can get larger pieces done, it absorbs better due to the penetrating nature of alcohol, it dries faster because alcohol dries extremely fast, and you won't get the grain raising up as much from saturating your wood in water.
Good to know
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!
I will try this! Thank you 😊 ❤
Good job looking good
Thanks 👍
Do you just leave the brad nails as is ie: visable or do you use a punch to get them below the surface and then fill with sawdust/glue??
I use a pin nailer as much as possible on the front facing art. Holes are tiny. Brand nails on the frame.
Can I use regular paper and regular ink from my printer?
It didn’t work for me that way.
Woow❤❤
Thanks!
Thanks 👍
No problem 👍
